Such a gentleman. We all have our scars:- I wish his team would give him the Theatre Shooting We Will Rise Wristband I sent to his London Fan Mail Address. I am from Aurora Colorado, and I did share about the Aurora Colorado Century 16 theatre shooting. I two know what it’s like to live with grieve. Long story short I was in theatre 8 when the bullets went through the wall, and lost my friend next door in theatre 9 where the shooter was.

Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors. I had not relised that he grew up in Northern Ireland. I am constantly frustrated by the way peoplle refer to the Civil War in Ireland that lasted for 30 years as 'the troubles' in Ireland. It was a war and to cal it anything else is an insult to all the innocents who died, on both sides of the conflict. Even here in the UK my mother was terrified of going into the cities, in case we were blown up by an IRA bomb inn a shopping centre. I was in my early 20s before I visited Manchester or Liverpool or London. The war in Ireland domiated so many children's lives in Ireland and in mainland Britain and should never be played down or forgotten. Rest in Peace the babes of Ireland.

I grew up in Northern Ireland. It was a terrorist campaign. Planting bombs with the sole purpose of killing civilians of a different nationality/religion is terrorism not a war.

Stop portraying the troubles as being only one-sided, the brits were the aggressors, not the victims. The underlying cause of the troubles was the british occupation and dehumanisation of the Irish on our own island depriving the Irish of basic human rights and the brits treating the Irish as sub-human. In the occupied countries, tensions will persist until the uk acknowledges and internalizes britain's part in causing the troubles. Until then, the uk's revisionism, avoidance of responsibility and refusal to accept any form of accountibility will be a barrier to real peace and continue to be a wedge between peoples.

In his latest role Neeson plays Marlowe all through the film,with his hat straight on his head . Look at pictures of Bogart, Cagney ,Mitchem , Bing Crosby,Sinatra et al , all with their hats tilted to the side. Neeson looks like George Formby or some one in an Am Dram production of Guys and Dolls. Where were the costume historians? Why didn't someone tell him?

She laid a number of traps for him, but he was too smart to fall for any of it - refusing her efforts to implicate him in some way. He struck the diplomatic middle ground instead of confronting her with British abuses in NI. And he wouldn't downplay the peace process even tho she tried to make it seem that it was over because 1 policeman was shot. He wouldn't have that - the Peace Process goes on and will lead to a United Ireland.
