I found that if you put a piece of duck tape or heavy tape on the lettering or small engraving areas it lifts right off. I’ve used this method a lot and it is really helpful.

I have a glowforge pro and love it. Waxy wat to paint when you engrave is with a sponge. You actually can dab right over it. You must be very light handed but so easy to do. Enjoy

Yes, a small strip of Gorilla duct tape will help lift all those tape pieces off your wood. Cute project. I may need to get those markers.

Love your content! I also have a Glowforge Aura and an xTool F1. The F1 is so much faster, but I love the larger projects I can do on the Aura! Thanks for sharing! I think I may look into those paint markers! 🥰

I do think the laser cutters are pretty fun. Personally, have no plans to get one due to space constraints and the fact I would rather get sublimation printer but I do love seeing what people make. What you made came out so cute!

I’ve been waiting for this video! Yay for your first project 🎉 If you need some wood in a pinch or maybe some to play with, I’ve found the square wood signs (12x12 ish) in the craft section of Dollar Tree to be a great option. Low pressure bc they’re inexpensive! I haven’t thought to paint as you did, so I’ll have to try that soon 😊 Thank you so much for sharing ❤

Great video! I have a question about the material. I was under the impression that the material had to say “aura” on it. I bought an acrylic and it just said proofgrade and it didn’t work. Can you clarify for me? Thanks so much!!

You can filter for materials that work on the aura, so I do that when shopping for my materials. Certain acrylic colors cannot be cut on the aura, so you’ll want to make sure they are compatible for your machine!

I have a glowforge too, i will never use glue it’s too messy, instead I use double sided tape. No need to wait for it to dry glue can get messy quick.

Question, I been doing research for a while on this item and it has a 3.7 review and a lot of on the engraving. How many times did you have to do the engraving to get it to look sharp? Curious before I purchase one??

This was actually my first project with wood! I am not sure what you mean by how many times, but the machine just knows how many passes to do based on the material put in. :)

Be careful with the gorilla glue. Sometimes it creates a foamy residue.
