At 69 still wear my Converse platforms have all the beautiful clothes u recommend except for jumpsuits and A line skirts. I've become an expert at hiding my tummy but with both items unable to do so effectively. U look absolutely beautiful in everything Beth - if u have a good figure everything looks good. Hi Beth, I love the green necklace you wore with the blouse in this video. I love how it complimented your blouse while it didn’t exactly “match” with the blouse. I hope you know what I mean!! I love patterns that don’t typically “match”. Just like I love asymmetry in clothing, haircuts, etc. I began watching your channel a little while ago, and I’m just loving it. I’m learning so much about fashion from you. I think you have a fantastic sense of humor, which I always love. I watched “your assumptions about me” and I laughed my head off when the first one was that you were “loaded”. I had never written it or said it out loud, but that was top on my list, too!! I’m a 65 year old widow, and I’ve always wanted to stay far away from frumpy, dowdy, or old lady clothes. I’m on a pretty tight budget, but I shop sales at Old Navy and Gap ( Gap’s sales are a little pricier than Old Navy’s. I haven’t tried TJ Max for years and never Nordstrom Rack, but I’ve heard they have sales, too. I am going to set up a clothing budget for myself. By the way, those yellow, button fly jeans and the tee ( with the blazer) were a very cool outfit. I know I asked before in my first comment to you, but could you please do a video on what to wear to a casual high school reunion? Mine is coming up in August. If you want to keep leather sneaks clean, apply Vaseline all over in a thin coat and buff it off. It helps prevent scuffs and most dirt will wipe right off.

I loved your ideas for spring!! I ordered the jacket and jumpsuit. The Talbot’s jumpsuit didn’t come with polka dots but a paisley print which is fine. The jumpsuits are trending this year I know because my 19 year old granddaughter bought one recently!!! Thankfully they’re appropriate for all ages.

Chico's has had some great business-looking ones or I have also found more casual ones at Kohls or Bealls. I found a nice denim one a couple years ago and I still anticipate wearing it. I haven't had a jumpsuit in my wardrobe for decades. Just a couple months ago I bought a v-neck, navy jumpsuit, with pockets. It's made by Cuddle Duds and it is SO comfortable! It's great for around the house but can also be dressed up. It comes in a few colors. I highly recommend!

Great picks! I need to try a Moto Jacket. My jumpsuit adventure - I have this sleeveless evening jumpsuit with wide-legs and faux-wrapped bodice. I would just roll up the pant legs (I do not want my pants dragging any public bathroom floor), slide the sleeves over my shoulders and pull down. That became too much because I’m also dealing with shapewear (and I only have two hands-LOL). So now I just take it off and hang it on the hook. I sometimes have to do the same with maxi dresses. However, I'm still looking classy in my one-piece black shapewear because I still have on my pearl accessories. LOL!

You can get the same look if you buy separates in the same pattern/color. Tuck in the shirt and it looks like a jumpsuit. You could also add a belt. I'm going to try it this spring. :-)

I just bought a lovely ASOS sleeveless jumpsuit in navy with a smallish fold over collar in a v neck, my preferred neckline. I had to,hem it an inch unusual only an inch because I am petite and generally legs are too long for me. This one I will wear with my blazers for Spring red, white, beige. I will also,wear it in fall with my fav camel wool blazer...so classic. I have lots of ballet flats, loafers, and high heel sandals. On the same shopping trip to,a vintage store I found a lovely red Ralph Lauren sleeveless dress with v neck and a swing midi skirt, my preferred length and style of skirt....a feminine look to go with tailored items. I also got,out my white polka dot navy slacks. I have two new white tops to,go with the pants one a big ruffle collar knit covering the tops of my less than perfect arms, its a bodysuit....I will wear it also with my linen midiskrts for summer. I also bought a crossover cotton top in vneck with slightly puff sleeves....I have small shoulders as a petite so the big ruffle collar and the puff sleeves look great on me. I SO want a baloon sleeve white blouse sized for a petite body like mine in white,, one I could wear under the jumpsuit and with skirts and the pants. THANKS FOR MENTIONING STRIPES I like the idea of a long sleeve navy or yellow stripe top under the navy jumpsuit....I have both for cooler days...wow just watching you I built an entire core wardrobe with what I just bought! This is why I watch videos and look at Pinterest. Gosh, I may wear out that jumpsuit...it is perfect for showing off my nice belt collection too....thanks Beth!

Not quite a jumpsuit, but I was scarred for life from having the shoulder strap of my overalls (back in the 80s) drop into a train station toilet when I had only a few minutes before I had to catch the train. No time to change clothes, I had to just dry it under the hand dryer and live with dried toilet water close to my face until I reached my destination a couple of hours later. I will never wear anything with an attached top again.

Your advice is bang on as always. The danger with the A-line skirt is not the skirt itself but the length of the skirt as many women will not look at their silhouette and their height and get the wrong length and then it looks dumpy and frumpy and that's the reason why they don't like the skirt. If in doubt, buy it longer and have it tailored not too short and certainly not too long because a long a line skirt can look absolutely frighteningly hideous on you if you don't have the right length for your body and so people shy away from it. You must also wear the correct shoes to go with that skirt, certainly not anything platform.

it's always about proportions. and, yes, shoes make or break an outfit but are easily exchanged.
