A lovely breath of fresh spring air, even though I'll need my winter coat for another six weeks minimum and will be treading on snow and slush for just about that long. Spring is a hard season to dress for in the upper Midwest--I long for pastels and easy-breezy pieces, but need cashmere and fleece to stay warm.

I've had my eye on that camo sweater you showed from Banana Republic. I've been a fan of that brand for the last year or two after I rediscovered it. The gray sweater joggers are nice too. I purchased the camel sweater duster and wide leg sweater pants in the fall and loved them. I had wondered what happened with Banana Republic because I too shopped there in the late '90s. I'm glad that you filled us in on their transition. Now I'm off to order that camo sweater and gray joggers. It's a cute combo. Thank you for sharing.

I am so glad you said something about Banana Republic, I use to love that store, but the last few years I haven't been shopping there as much. I am going over to JCrew more and more. I love JCrew now and have so many new things from there. I will have to check out Banana Republic if you say they are getting better. I also have been shopping in Talbots since my 20's, gosh they had such beautiful clothing back then. remember. (I am 66) Loved that Loft grey sweater with the red shoes. Love that! It's tricky when you drop weight and are between sizes. Knitwear typically helps with the transition and a tailor.

I really like the gray joggers. I prefer pants like this that don’t have the thick elastic drawstring “sweatpants” waistband, they look so much more polished, and they don’t have those unflattering gathers over the belly. I tried to resist buying new loungewear during the pandemic because I already have plenty of leggings, sweaters and t-shirts that I can wear at home. If I do buy any, they will be like your gray joggers, not the athletic-style ones.

Hi Beth! I love your outfits with white jeans! Question:. I have a pear shape figure and have always heard I should wear dark colors, dark wash jeans etc to minimize/make my lower half look smaller. Would white jeans be a no no for me?

that just depends on your comfort level. yes, dark rinse or dark colors help to minimize our size. light rinse and white make us look larger. but if that doesn't matter to you i say go ahead and at least try a few pair on for size. but i don't always dress to look slimmer or taller.

Banana republic has beautiful cotton knit hoodies with a bit of stretch that feels like you’re wearing sweats but is much more pretty. In a bunch of colors. Was on sale. Hope this helps.

Just an FYI: looks like you missed linking the white denim. Very flattering. The exposed button fly is one of my favorite styles. I believe Madewell and JCrew ARE still partners. Both seem to have less selection in jeans overall, but it's been a killer year. JCrew has fantastic deals on quality denim very similar to Madewell but often cheaper. Sorry no on that Talbot's top. That would look dowdy on me and aging, and for me, is my overall impression of their brand. I just found a wonderfully fully quilted navy jacket for a steal and well made @ a discount chain = Hilfiger. Happy shopping 🛍️

Just ordered the two sweaters from Loft. They were an additional 60% off! I saw them a few months ago in store but wasn't sure about purchasing them. After hearing you talk about them I WAS SOLD! In another video you wore the Diana black sheep sweater. Years ago I had a similiar one. Yes, this version is a bit on the pricey side. However, I wore the other one to death so I know this is a good investment piece for me. I'm now waiting to receive my sweater. If you can't tell, I LOVE, LOVE sweaters of all kinds. You mentioned that you bought sweaters from Boden. I've only ordered from them a couple times several years ago. Their sizing seems to confuse me. I think I order too small of sizes. Do you find that you have to order larger sizes from Boden than other brands?

Boden definitely has a slim fit but I typically order my regular size with them. They convert from UK to US sizes which helps.
