Leave it to the wanna be teacher who has never had kids to jugde. She had no right to comment at all.
@Smartass850412 жыл бұрын
Wow, the teacher who stood up and gave her opinion really had no clue what she is talking about. Going to school for education doesn't give you the knowledge or experience (like she claimed) on this topic. Like it or not, the research does actually bake up the mom on stage's views. She is correct as well. The US definitely has his anti-breastfeeding/let's just bottle-feed our children thing going on that much of the rest of the world simply does not have. People really should read up.

I am the proud Momma of an 8-year old boy. Attachment parenting is the only way I could imagine raising him. I am so so happy that more people are becoming aware of this completely natural way of parenting. Peace!

Best comment of that video goes to Bethany " So your taking into account the world point of view where they're out just, ya know.....there's no running water and like also the metropolis." I'd love to know what scene out of jungle book she had swimming around her head when she made that pause.

I feel like a kid who gets the attention they needed as a child and never had to beg for their parents attention and care, just had to ask for it, would be a lot better at communicating with others in later life and would be a lot more confident in their relationships. Yes kids should develop a sense of independence but why should a two or three year old not feel that their parents will care for them when they need it? Why should an infant not know that their parent will come when they cry? Why does a baby need to be independent?

It's so RIDICULOUSLY SAD HOW A WOMAN CAN HAVE AN OPINION OPINION ON BREASTFEEDING AND MOTHER HOOD WHEN SHE HERSELF IS NOT ONE .😂🤣

I am sorry but breast feeding at 5,6,7 years old is disgusting. This isn't a debate over breast feeding or moderating your children and making sure they turn into good people. You are breast feeding a kid. Not a baby, not a toddler but a kid. A kid who is going to be ridiculed from start to finish if his peers ever actually see this. You are a grown woman, who should feel like a pervert for letting your kid suck on your breasts. The child already has a bond with his mom, this isn't needed. Breast feeding is without question better than bottle feeding....but this is way beyond "normal".

I don't think I have even heard about this "Attachment Parenting" label, but I was breastfed until I was 4. I love my mom. We are very close. I don't think there is any problem with it. I also really like cow milk. I drink 4 cups of milk a day. I'm a milk person. So what? My body, my mom's body, our business. It's not perverted. The breast is made to give milk, and it doesn't usually stop producing milk at 6 months or 1 year, it does it for years and it's good for kids. So why restrict that?

Breastfeeding has health benefits beyond 1 year, nutritional benefits subside but immunological benefits go into early toddlerhood.

tbh, getting sound statistical data on this parenting style is probably going to be near impossible. So in the end, it really just depends on your own opinions, as always...

I totally agree that moms in the US bottle-feed their kids waaaay more than moms in other countries, esp since working moms have to go back to work after only a few weeks after giving birth. In other countries that are much more family-friendly, moms spend at least a year with their newborn and breastfeeding is indirectly stimulated that way. All in all, why don't people just mind their own business, esp in situations when other ppl's actions don't even affect them!?

proud attachment momma right here! and i agree 7 is about the limit of breastfeeding. but i don't see why breastmilk is seen as something so taboo or weird or gross, the other day i was making oatmeal and ran out of milk so guess what i used?? yup best oatmeal yet =p its just milk! lol

Good for you I’m a man but I’m thrilled to hear moms like you who are nurturing and loving just think about all the moms who either have abortions or they give their kids up for adoption And breast-feeding it looked at as being gross because the media has deemed a woman’s breasts as sexual objects for men

The only time I've ever worried about older toddlers breast feeding is if I see a specific toddler get hurt or upset and the first thing mom does is pick them up and offer her breast. I believe when a child becomes verbal it's very important for them to start verbalizing their feelings and learning to self soothe. Breast feeding should be a bonding time and comfort when needed but not a solution for every problem. I know they spoke about this concern right off and I think those who practice Attachment Parenting with care seem to get the balance right.

Personally I'm not in favor. I think that it's nice the entire nurturing thing, but I think I grew up appreciating my parents and respecting them and finding comfort in them just as much without being breastfed until I was old enough to remember. I think, personally, that it's not really the children getting too attached but the moms. What will she do when he's in college and she can't comfort him so closely anymore. She might go nuts worrying.

Really? o.o I am more independent BECAUSE I was pushed away. My mom is a very busy woman so she never got that much time for me so I kind of started to learn how to be on my own. Plus my mom stopped breast feeding me after at a very young age.

KittieZombieSlayer And yet you probably drink cow's milk: milk from a cow's teat and meant for a baby cow.
@ESNDN7 жыл бұрын
A M A M Jersey cows produce more milk than the calf can drink. They average between 5 to 6 gallons a day. The most the calf will consume is 2.5 gallons by the time they are of weaning age. If you don’t milk the cow, she will become ill and develop mastitis. So no, not all of the cows milk is meant for the calf. This is why they we have been using cows milk for centuries.

I don't have kids and I've never done any research so i don't really feel like i even have the right to an opinion on this subject, but I will say this, a family member breast feed her kid until he was 5 and it always grossed me out.
@LittleGuy198411 жыл бұрын
my aunt did that and I saw that as a little kid and it has affected me till this day I'm almost 30. Cause of that I couldn't breastfeed my son when he was born I felt grossed out and weirded out by it so I pumped lol

Sam Smith you must not drink cows milk, or eat eggs, or eat ice cream, etc... don’t be stupid. Humans are the only creatures that will breast feed that long. There is nothing nutritional once the child is that old.

I don't!! I'm proud to say I don't :) I drink the milk from nuts (i.e. Almonds)
