Totally NOT worth it. Unless you get there at 5am to bag a spot, HORRIBLE traffic. If you get there any time after 8am, expect a 5 mile walk from the only spot you can get. Once on the beach, don’t bother bringing chairs. Standing room only unless you want to get trampled. People will put thier fat asses right in front of you if you’re sitting. Couldn’t care less. Then the lifeguards are on the bull horns “YOU CANT STAND HERE!!! KEEP MOVING!!!’” Then a small group of over privileged people had a 60X100 lot coned off just for them. Again “YOU CANT STAND THERE!!!” Never again. Takes all the fun out of it.
