I do crochet but have never tried that stitch. It is really attractive and I will be using at the next crochet opportunity. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Beth, oh my goodness, how beautiful your blankets are. My grandma tried to teach me how to crochet when I was a teenager, but I just didn't get it. I'm glad I am able to sew. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work. Blessings

I love to crochet, sew and knit. I’m not as good with knitting but I keep trying! My grandma taught me to crochet and sew when I was about 5. I didn’t learn to knit until my 20s. The afghans are beautiful! I love the multiple colors!

Beth’s talents just don’t end. I love crochet blankets, my friend is making a waffle blanket for me now and he said “if this was moss stitch it would be done by now”. Waffle stitch takes up so much yarn but it’s super heavy. Ahha 😂

I crochet a lot too but haven't used your spike stitch pattern before. Very pretty blankets in your camper and what a great job your granddaughter did with her stockings.👏♥️🇦🇺

Nice tutorial. I just turned a laundry basket full of yarn scraps into a knitted mitered square afghan, time to switch to crochet & try this stitch for my next random afghan. ❤

This seems like a good way to use up yarn left over from other projects. Your camping blankets look great!

I love to sew and crochet. My paternal grandmother taught me when I was young. She was an expert stitcher. Your blanket is beautiful. I love multi colored pieces.

When I first learn y crèche I went crazy and made so many things. Sweaters, pillows, coat sweaters, skirts with matching tops, hats, gloves, dinning room chair covers, patio chair covers, shower curtains. But I love quilts the best. Went to a garage sale from a coworker and bout quilting books from 1971. They were her mothers. She sold them to me 5 for a dollar.? I hope her Mom knows they went to a person who love Quilt books.

Hi Beth, i love to crochet so many fabulous stitches to learn. I make lots of baby blankets. Im from England the double crochet is referred to as the triple crochet and single crochet is double crochet....hook sizes are also different..i always have to check patterns. 😂

When I was in college about 12 lifetimes ago, I'd buy a couple of balls of twine and crochet shoulder bags 😂 Just that simple chain stitch...is that what it's called? I'd line them with cheap cotton 😂 My friends loved them ❤ Now I'm focusing on those 5 bins of "quality quilting cotton" Happy Holidays ❤

I also love to crochet. Your blanket is lovely. It is great to use up yarn. Could you maybe list your stitches again? Some of them were very interesting. What different stitches did you use? I know there was no particular pattern.
@bethshibleyquilts17 сағат бұрын
I first made a chain. Then I double crocheted the second row. Third row and onward I double crocheted each stitch but changed the placement every other stitch. I don’t really know how to explain it technically 🤔👌

Your granddaughter's little stockings are very good for a beginner. Did she crochet the initials, also? Or did she use some embroidery? Either way it is an endearing touch. Like many others, I knit, crochet, and do quilts and simple bags. I enjoy your videos so much.
@bethshibleyquilts21 сағат бұрын
Not sure how she did the initials. Thank you for your kind words
