Wild Cats, as the uncle to two B.C.U. grads. I want to thank you for the class in which your university has exhibited every year that I have attend the Classic. As a Graduate of Florida A.& M. University I honor the dedication and hard work involved in putting on a 15 minute show. Yes we all want the best and the bragging rights that follow. In many cases we ask for more than we give. As a people, we are not contributing to our own institutions as well as we can, if at all. I am saying this for the benefit of both Universities. "We can do better". People, I had a great time and I look forward to next year. I won't have one bad thing to say about the bands nor universities. Job well done by both !

People are complaining about FAMU and BCU because they are different in the SWAC. You want them to be like everyone else or be different. I like that FAMU and BCU are different from the rest of the SWAC. Those band need variety. They all sound the same to me.

These are students and they practice very hard to give us a good show. Why would anyone put any negative comments on here. You didn’t enjoy yourself this year for the Classic that’s your fault. That mean you a poor individual. You don’t know how to have fun. Keep that negative vibes to yourself please and give these students some props for they hard work.

Rhonda, this band has really set a standard and a very high bar. It’s an expectation to get the very best from the Marching Wildcats and I’m sure they did the best with what they’re working with. Also, many people do not know that Dr. Bethune’s statue will be the first Black person to be featured in the US Congress Statuary Hall and that formation was a nod to that… so it impacted the significance of the show because they didn’t know about that piece of history.

This tribute was in honor of her statue being the first black person/ woman in DC at the museum this coming December. The man who made this tribute died from covid before it could be shown a few months back. This was in honor of him and Mary! your very ignorant to say it was disturbing classic is not always about back in forth between the bands Wells could careless.

Very dry / uninspiring show. The Mary tribute was nice, but something like that should have been put in the beginning of the show. Concert number was the best part of this show. FAMU has completely retaken the throne; football and band. I gotta give props when due. Damn shame we have stagnated so much...

I love the rivalries between our schools and what not and shit talking is part of the fun but this was bad to the point that I can't do that and feel ok about it. The kids on the field aren't the problem from what I'm seeing because they still sound great. It seems like something else is up and I genuinely hope that it gets dealt with and you guys get back in top shape again :(

Lol JSU was weak this year and only thing SU does is play loud. SU been doing the same field show for over 30yrs not a good example to use. However Cookman show was dry this year from start to finish.

@@teebrooks8832 SU and JSU the top 2 HBCU band programs period! SU always change up their field shows. The 3 video links attached below of SU field shows from 2021 proves that fact. Also, JSU was not weak this year, so you can keep that other lie as well. The SWAC is where all the entertainment is at, when it comes to HBCU marching bands! We play popular music period! BCU has an awesome band, but their song selections simply do not cut it. It's time for Mr. Wells to pass the torch to a younger Director. Someone who's ready to bring some new music and fresh ideas to BCU band program. We the fans deserve that! I mean, "In The Stone", "400 Degree's", and "Betcha By Golly Wow", just not gone cut it anymore. Though I'm a Juke alum and fan of BCU, I still tire from hearing BCU playing the same boring old songs that they've been playing ever since 1966. We all know BCU sound awesome, but they really do need some new music, if they're going to have a chance against a SWAC band. SWAC fans love new music, especially popular music. At least FAMU made some changes by adding new music to their playbook, because they did an amazing job this season. I was happy for them. I'm rooting for BCU as well. @@fountainmedia4683 FAMU had like 5 to 6 different shows this year so what are you saying. Orange Blossom Classic FAMU was the better halftime show against JSU and was rated the best show by ESPN. SU has great drills and the same ones they been doing for over 30yrs plus. Only thing SU and JSU are good at is stand battles the field shows don’t compare to FAMU or Cookman. This from a real true band head.

This show was very Lack luster! 14K started out good in the beginning, but where is the technique?? I think if the use more so of the front area during their feature. And please let’s end these features differently!! All season they’ve end their feature the same two ways!!! ☹️ and the Mary Tribute should’ve been done at Homecoming you have more alumni who attend homecoming.

Definitely loved the change ups for formation and honestly could have done without the video presentation as that tribute to Dr. Bethune sold itself. Very shocked Wells used props for it and so glad to hear Love TKO with this new playing style.
