Famu sound has not only returned to how it used to be but it’s even matured a lot more. They sound impeccable! They definitely took halftime again this year

I remember as a kid 9 years old moving to Tallahassee back in '96. The very first morning i was there i kept hearing this marching band practicing. Little to my knowledge i was listening to one of the greatest college bands known to man. To The Marching 100 thank you for the memories and all of the hard work you do. Stay great, stay blessed!

FAMU is still the band to beat on the field in any HBCU conference. They still know how to maintain the HBCU marching band entertainment factor on the field from back in the day vs focusing on stand music and blowing load. Everything from the drill, song selection and the dance routines are well thought out to get an audience response vs just going through the motions. Kudos to them and I hope they continue to keep their legacy and tradition strong.

Great job on the show!! I like the designs on the field. The Hundred was not playing games. The Hundred is "Everything to me". The gloves were off during the dance routine. The Hundred stays ready.

I looked into it and found that Famu is marching more this year than at the 2011 Florida Classic, just a tad more. However, there were a ton of alternates I saw walking along the field in 2011, so the band itself was larger in 2011. But, I'm just glad the size is just about there. The band is awesome regardless of size, but that's just a big plus for me.

This is soooo good! Why do all them folks need to be on the sideline blocking the visuals of the recordings especially when the drum majors or flag corps are doing their routine? Hopefully next season someone can make them back up or move the band back some so we can see the dance routine… just saying. Luv FAMU Rattlers!🐍🧡💚

Respect to both bands, higher conscious minds understands that both have their own identities. Respectfully I say I for one will be glad to see the day, the hour when FAM acquires a "New Voice" for their halftime performances.
@DBerry7572 жыл бұрын
So the best in the business should be silenced because of a higher conscious mind? 😅😅😅😅😂😂
@b.millsj24012 жыл бұрын
@@DBerry757 Apparently you did not do well in your classroom settings. Higher conscious minds understands that FAMU and Bethune have their own identities, in my opinion comparing them to each other is childish in terms of Cookman in my opinion they just simply do not play musical selections that cater to all age groups in attendance and also in my opinion they do not showcase whatever new dance is out or look to put more emphasis on being more creative in terms of implementing props etc... during their, halftime performances. For everything there is a an appointed time, in my opinion A&M should go with a fresh new voice, I feel let's say a.....young female voice would work well. Respectfully for me I have grown very tired of hearing "The voice" behind the 100 during halftime and in my opinion the voice often times speaks when he should simply be silent and let the 100 performance speak for itself!!!! I'm of age so I have been hearing the voice for a very long time, time for change. Oh by the way only those dealing with a hidden pain or teenage girls implement emojis in their sentence structure like you did.

Great sound and marching. BUT...y'all gotta get back to playing Top 40 hits ONLY unless it's otherwise timely. Random compilations of songs from 20 yrs ago makes us look mediocre like other HBCU bands
@bbdblass19702 жыл бұрын
what u mean like other bands?? everybodyS consistent across the board doing the most random performances, including famu, which only stands out in stickmen execution and size. everything else is the same, YES EVEN THE SOUND because no band today can mimick the the old school 100! THATS FACTS!!!
@th3livinglegend2 жыл бұрын
@@bbdblass1970 no FAMU just started playing these random mashups in an effort to be "creative" and it ends up looking like other HBCU band field shows which are usually awful. They need to stick to Band Pageantry and only play top 40 and let the rest of y'all perform random greatest hits
@th3livinglegend2 жыл бұрын
@@bassclef06 yes, WE have always played older songs when they're relevant. Not about to argue with people that aren't current/former members of the 100 or any band. Dr. Foster's claim to fame was having his hand play Top 40 hits and when they didn't, the intent was to educate the crowd. Good day..
