Chingy came to Scotland for the mtv Europe awards I remember standing in a massive crowd waiting to see all these stars. When he came out he got quickly put in his car and embarrassingly I started to cry. He got out his car, while his management saying no no go back in the car, came over gave me a hug gave me his autograph and was so nice to me. He was honestly just a such a nice guy. It’s very sad that the “business” side of this industry is actually what ultimately drove this guy out of the light, it wasn’t even the fans or nothing. Because ultimately, people more like CHINGY are the ones that deserve the fame, atleast more so than the veeerry bad examples that we put on that pedestal in today’s world. This kid is well-spoken, intelligent, not nearly as bad of an example as most of today’s most famous artists. I’m happy he did get the time that he had, though, and I’m also very proud that I was one of the original fans to benefit from his music as he sat atop. Man those were the days.
