waterbenders in general are nightmares for firebenders, its why the instantly targeted the south pole after the air nomads. katara as a semi-prodigy is every firebenders nightmare, most of all azula's who likely hasnt faced that many if at all

@@geovannicardenas4736 they believed that the cycle was either broken completely or that the avatar survived regardless. Zuko in the first episode mentions that the avatar would be over 100 years old, which would only be possible if he expected the avatar never died to begin with. They know he was born in the earth kingdom, and the temples didn’t activate prior or after then taking the waterbenders, so they can only come to the conclusion that he’s permanently dead or alive as an airbenders

And unsurprisingly ppl choose not to understand Katara’s frustration in this episode😒. WHY would she be immediately open to have a fun little chitchat with the guy who has been chasing and terrorizing her for two whole season, I don’t get it? “You don’t know his story”…..you would think these people have not watched two seasons worth of Zuko chasing and terrorizing Aang and his group. Isn’t he the same one that hog-tied Aang & dragged him in the middle of a snowstorm like why in the world would Katara be so quick to have a fun little gab session with someone who did THAT????

Your issue. I had the biggest crush on her when I watched avatar. She is the whole reason I love villains. She is the first female character that was my fav character from any show. I only used to like boys before this. Azula is that one character which totally revolutionizes your preferences.

I think people take for granted that as the viewer they have more information than the characters. Since they know Azula is in disguised as Suki, then they think it should be obvious the Earth King should know something is off. People tend to forget that the king has never met Azula or Suki before and went on Soka's word that they were trustworthy. People do the same thing in season 3 when Katara didn't trust Zuko right away. So many people hated Katara threatened Zuko, because they forget Katara doesn't know his change is real this time or has any knowledge on his internal struggle. They get mad at her and forget the last time she saw him was this episode which had him betray her trust in a big way.
