So ... I'm watching this in 2024. apparently voice activated recorders and GPS tracking were available in the early 90's, because this guy used them before his divorce and then spent 30 years in his second marriage. I'm not saying i need to believe that these stories are true, but it would be nice if the people writing them spent at least a moment thinking about consistency and continuity.

GPS has been available since the early-mid 80's and voice activated recorders before that.

Too bad that we didn't have GPS tracking and locating abilities and trackable Text messaging etc back when my x wife started cheating on me. Sure would have saved me untold misery for the past 30 years.☹

Creative writing content writers, at the least, should know basic math, basic technology, basic lifestyles based on the years, etc. Wow, the protagonist of the story used a GPS app, Voice activated recording device, back in 1992 even before the invention of smartphones and when the internet was in its infancy at that time. I only wish the detectives had used these gadgets and technologies back then to solve murder cases, which have been long pending to this day.
