“28On hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged. 29They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff. 30But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.” Luke 4

The money + he never thought Jesus would allow Himself to be taken After all so many times they came at Him and He passed right through them and was gone- His time had not yet come

Re proximate cause, doesn’t John 12:5 suggest Judas considers Jesus a hypocrite? When v6 says Judas is a thief that’s not necessarily inconsistent - we often have multiple motives - but I’m trying to understand why anger & frustration lead to Judas but not Matthew to betrayal - is it possible that Judas thinks Jesus betrayed him 1st?

I could not believe that Mr. Sproul said that Peter was The Rock, were the Church would be founded. _The Aramaic Name of Peter was Kephas (Cephas) meaning a "stone". Jesus Christ called him Kephas. But in Greek the word for rock, was Petros. _But "The Rock" was The Messiah, not a Coward Apostle who denied Him 3 times.
