hello and thankyou, ive had this saved in my watch later list, thinking this needs time, space, peace and quiet, which i have the house to myself. Perfect. watching, listening to your step outs, your line placement, wedge shape and filling in as you go are just perfect for a beginner, like me to follow such a beautiful pattern. All i have to do now is do it ,but I'm going to watch and listen, your instruction is spot on, so thankyou for letting us in on how to create such a pattern.

I love the look of this and I am STILL trying to practice to do it so it looks right. You make it look much easier than it actually is. I have moments where I feel like my hand has a mind of it's own and just absolutely will NOT listen to direction no matter what🤣I will get into a "pocket" where I am doin really good and I love what I see and then out of nowhere some trickster possesses my hand and ...oooff. But I will not give up!

This was interesting! I drew the first line of shapes almost exactly like yours…then going left I found it difficult to place the end of each line. I ended up with it very swirled to the left, and the sizing of small to larger a bit off. It looks different to yours now, but I like it! I also found it easier to draw the shapes down a ‘row’ then go back and fill in the black bits and add the lines, or I lost the rhythm. And of course I drew a circle round a lid that’s probably about 5 or 6 inches across so there’s that lol. I started watching this video, then thought right…just went through ALL my art stuff and got organised and actually having a go, rather than as usual having a huge creative impulse, not acting on it and then it’s gone! I’m almost blind in my left eye at the moment, suspected retinal detachment but it’s not, they think optical neuropathy which is worse. In the process of tests etc. But I can still draw! I think lol, no one else has looked at it, so… It’s actually distracting me from the shadow over that eye and also the darn glitter effect that’s outlining everything…it’s like being in the midst of a crowd of sunlit twilight vamps 😂

@@betsi_jae It’s always been the one thing that scared me most, losing vision…turns out it was a stroke. May improve in time if the nerves heal, but at least I can still see! I’m just stubborn lol, telling me I can’t do something is the quickest way to get me to give it a go 😄 Other eye is still functioning okay and colour vision good in that.
