Do you shiponing soil area too? Or only shiponing sand?

Soil doesn’t need to be syphoned in most of the cases as the plants will use the waste and cycle it.

Have you tried putting amano shrimp with your betta? They can get more of the algae off the plants

Nope I have not tried and this tank is too small for amanos and they will jump out so I can’t put them in here

My algae is always brown and super hard to clean. That algae seemed to come off pretty easy.

Do you have Ottocinclus in the tank ? If brown Algae is diatoms than ottos will clear your tank out

@@micheleann3239 do you use tap water ? If yes pls do check for the silicate levels in it as if the water has too high silicate level than too you might have excessive amount of diatoms

Hello everyone , I have a question , I want buy aquarium of 79 gallons , BUT my problem is where I put the aquarium ? I live in New Jersey is very cool here , but if I put the aquarium in the living room my problem is the heavy weight for my floor actually am scary about the weight , and maybe in the basement, BUT my basement is not finished, and is not insulated 😢 is very cool in the winter 🥶 … I saw a lot aquarium KZbinrs and almost all of them have the aquariums in the basement … actually I can’t understand NOBODY do a video about this BIG “problem” about the aquarium , I guess the best big problem in this beautiful hobby 😢

First of all do you want to make a planted tank or a fish tank ? Basically what species you want to house in it ?

@@pacae911 ok i got that but you want to make a planted tank or a fish tank as if planted tank than it can take upto a certain degrees cold temps but if you want to make a tank for tropical fishes like cichlids than you definitely have to use heater
