I wish to God , I was with Bette Midler again , 40 years ago on August 5th 1980 at Sunset Sound Studios in los Angeles Ca We Met And Almost fell in love ....When Bette and I first met she was so nice to me , shaking my hand and said " Hi I'm Bette I just Bought a house , I said to her wow " that's very nice do you need someone to cut your grass ? She smiled at me and said ,na I got someone to do that , And then she said to me , I'll be back , And to my surprise she smiled at me and came back , she came back to me through out the whole day in between her recording session ....imagine yourself Bette fans being with Bette Midler , her coming up to you , asking your name , and asking you where are you from ? Asking you tons of Questions , talking to her , along with so many other things that happened between you and Bette , Now put yourself in my place while I'm writing to all you Bette fans out there , I'm speaking to all of you from the Heart with this Big Question , Would you rub Bette Midler's feet ? Would you Bette Fans if you have a chance like I had ...taking off her shoes rubbing her feet so close to you ....? .I still remember what happened Between Bette and I " Bette liked me , if she didnt she would of never spent so much time with me , And asking me so many.questions .... And then she comes back asking me if she can sit next to me ? And then to my surprise she pulls up a chair very close to me , saying oh my.feet are so sore ..... I said really? And she said yeah , what would you do Bette Fans , And tell me what should I have done ? Was Bette Midler trying to give me a big hint that she wanted me to rub her feet ? Again what would you have done Bette fans ? As she came back to you more and more ? There's a lot more between Bette and I, we even talked about the rose and the chapel of love she told me she wanted to do the movie better and the song , she was not very pleased with them at all ..... plus she told me to that she did not want to talk about John Lennon , When I asked her what john is like , she said to me , I dont wanna talk about that ..She even asked me Am I Gay ? And if I have a Girl friend ? And asking me do you wanna get married ? And do you like kids ? I'm serious Bette asked.me those questions along with others .... I almost said to her , Do you mean us ? But I didnt , my biggest regret is I did not sing to her , when she asked me to. What the hell was I thinking Bette fans ? I bet I insulted the hell out of her, lol , I didnt mean to , the look on her face was really something saying to me , oh ok ........she was so nice to me , I really feel I screwed every thing up between us , I bet you fans out there thinking oh man you had great chance to be with Bette Midler , And you Blew it ! I know I'm not ashamed to admit it , I screwed up big time with Bette Midler , I believe God brought us together , But at the time I was to blind to see that .....even my late friend Jim Parker that was friends with Earl Holliman told me the same thing on the night of Octobe 31,st 1980 , oh Rob, you blew it ! That was the last time Bette And I was together along with my late friend Jim , just the 3 of us alone ...who knows what might have been ?
