I love how this trailer showcases so much of the show while tip toeing around actual spoilers. My favorite part is the way you inserted Howard's "your one of the brightest legal minds I've known, and this is what you choose". If you've watched the show you know he's saying that to Kim, but to a new viewer you'd assume he was talking to Jimmy, cause that also completely applies to him.

This is what a true fan of the series looks like. Amazing work, definitely something even Peter and Vince would have been proud of. It undoubtedly resembles their style, using so much symbolism. I enjoyed the transition to black and white and the guitar on the soundtrack, which reminds me of the intro theme. Congrats!

The two things I want to say are that I personally dislike the inclusion of the “You’re not a real lawyer” moment as when I first watched the show a few months ago I had no idea about that twist and liked Chucks character so I was so taken aback when that scene happened and I realized Chuck would be the villain of Jimmy’s story. The other thing is that I absolutely love the inclusion of Howard telling Kim she’s the smartest person he knows in this context as if you haven’t watched the show before then you would assume he’s talking to Jimmy and it really adds a special bit to this fan trailer. Amazing work all around, just that one little nitpick I wanted to say.

To be fair, looking at that scene with utterly no context, you could think it's a flashback, you could think it's a scene where Chuck "learns the truth" about Jimmy and feels betrayed, you could think all sorts of things other than what actually happened.

Maybe some moment in season 1 where Chuck and Jimmy were being friendly with each other, and contrasts the "No more," line after it to portray it as better times. Something like that. That was fucking amazing. I nearly jumped outta my seat when Beefheart came on. What a fantastic song choice too. Really fits the themes of the show and ties into Kim and Jimmy's relationship. It also fits in perfectly with all the other 50s/60s sad ballads that they use. Kinda pisses me off I didn't think of that first cuz Beefheart is my favorite artist lmao.

It’s most likely a true amp spring reverb effect which is period accurate for this type of music and the gear they used. Also used a lot in My Morning Jacket and the like.

no but this is the best fan-made trailer ive seen. the editing is just beautiful. some details i noticed: 00:00 at the start, the coffee falls into the cup; indicating normalcy and order, which is contrast to the end at 2:09; where the cup falls and the coffee spills; symbolic of all the disruption of natural order which makes perfect sense in the context of the show. the trailer opening basically sums up the entire character of saul; an endlessly witty lawyer who gets what he wants (convincing the jury that the witness testimony is false although wrongfully) be it by unethical means (false defendant) and then cut to: 0:32 "my brother's not a bad person. he can't help himself." beautiful. plus, the trailer seems to be from the perspective of saul; note how at 0:52 saul seems so innocent and affectionate towards his brother, who then at 0:55 says "you're not a real lawyer!" evidently antagonising saul, hence sauls pov (even in the show's context, saul obstinately believes chuck to be in the wrong). even saul's silent, sad nodding at 0:57 makes him seem pitiful and his brother the bad guy. and the gorgeous editing of showing all abnormalities (broken glass, bloodstained seats, cup with bullet hole etc) after lalos rebranding of JMM (his takeover and dominance in sauls life respectively; leading to all the horror that unfolds), and also the outward chaos (the fiery explosion, car crashes but also the money literally flying at 1:55). i know the stuff i mentioned is rather rudimentary but alas, i couldnt help myself. i just love this edit a lot, ive seen it too many times. i could happily write 100 page analysis on this :)

this is the greatest trailer i have seen for anything ever. only one or two incredibly minor spoilers, fantastic music choice, very well paced, the fact it starts with the coffee in the cup and ends with the coffee missing the cup, the nice little saul gone reference at the end when the scale goes gray. even the little details like that fact that all the action at 1:52 is all at the top of the screen, so you dont have to shift your eyes around to see it. ive rewatched it like a million times already man so incredibly well done

I just really needed to get this out; This is honestly one of the best trailers i’ve ever seen, better than pretty much all big budget AAA movies that have been released the past few years and the fact that this is fanmade is MINDBLOWING. Another guy made a Breaking Bad trailer which now has 1 million views and everyone is praising that video for their editing, but this trailer is 10x better in both editing and music choice!!! Perfect trailer, watched it about 10x in a row lol! So perfectly edited and the scene and dialogue choices are perfect for getting across the show, esp to those 'boring compared to BrBa' people, the repeating of phrases and the trailer narrative formed from connecting dialogue from separate scenes. Perfection! My only criticism and this may be specifically down to headphone listening, the dialogue levels seemed quite low compared to the music so felt some of the softer spoken line hooks didn't have as much impact and sometimes a bit hard to hear at the music's louder moments. I seen the show so many times I know the lines of dialogue word by word at this point but wonder if they would come across to anyone watching for first time.
