I think he’ll lie and betray her one final time which will compel her to leave him, at least that’s what I’m hoping for instead of her getting killed. I can’t see him being as chipper as he was in BB knowing the only woman he ever truly cared about was dead because of him.

Tursiops you could be right, but I don’t know how he’d think that’d be possible at this point when she pretty much made herself a part of this by visiting Lalo in jail, and stepping up to him, etc.. He mentions Lalo in BB which either tells me either Lalo is still alive, or Saul never found out his fate, as Mike understandably doesn’t tell him every little thing that’s going on. Either Saul leaves Kim, Kim leaves Saul, or she goes into hiding by the vacuum guy, that’s what I think. I just really hope she doesn’t die.

I didn't even realize this: the moment Kim steps in is when Saul mentions that the money is in the bag in the other room. But not because of the money. Because the cup with the bullet hole is inside of it, and Kim knows that. So she scrambles, because the moment Lalo sees that cup it will confirm that Saul is lying.

When he tells Nacho, "change of plans" I think that lalo is going to kill Nacho, especially after we saw that he feels sorry for his uncle Salamanca and the state in which he is, a vegetable. I like to think that Lalo knows somehow that Both Kim and Saul were lying, but he knows that the Bigger problems are inside his cartel , he knows that Someone is talking, a mole.

This scene really does show how Lalo was unique amongst the other Salamancas. He stood out in the sense that he is here, having every flaw of him ripped into him by this lady he doesn't really know, only having once met her. And he simply accepts his defeat, and walks off. He knows that he was in the wrong, and he backs off. Any other Salamanca: be it Hector, the Cousins or Tuco himself, would have simply shot them both in rage. Lalo is absolutely horrifying, he's a genuine monster because he knows how to play his emotions just right, yet he commits so much evil.

Lalo is the most captivating character I've seen in this show, or even Breaking Bad. He's legitimately totally unpredictable. Think about it, what character can WALK OUT OF THE HOSTILE SITUATION and simultaneously make the situation as a whole that much more hostile. It leaves the viewers with the knowledge that Lalo has the restraint not to attack here, when he knows he's smart enough to wait and let a better opportunity present itself later, to maybe kill both of them. Brilliant writing, Gus uses fear to control his enemies, but Lalo's intimidation comes less in what he says. Like tapping on the fish tank, he doesn't want to demonstrate control, he wants to demonstrate his enemy's lack of control. Just like when he went into Gus' restaurant, unlike when Hector did in previous seasons, Lalo actually acted cordually and mannerly to appease Gus. But applying himself as a customer confuses Gus and forces him to struggle with which persona to adopt during their conversation. Lalo didn't seek to empower Gus, he simply robbed him of his greatest power. I love this show.

Lalo fascinates me as a character. The one thing that sets him apart from the other Salamancas is that he's learned (albeit in a very sociopathic kind of way) to act nice. He is not as brutal as the other members of his family, but he's every bit as merciless and when nice and fun and smooth-talking doesn't work anymore, he gets the same kind of predatory, dead-eyed look on his face that the Twins, Tuco, and Hector have. Then, when the killing is over, it's straight back to smiles and making omelets. Like nothing ever happened.

People in the comments saying Mike was standing up for Saul because he liked him etc is completely incorrect. He was prepared to clip Lalo because he was scared Saul would reveal Mike's (& therefore Gus') involvement under pressure. Lalo would alert his cousins, Hector etc, after that, there would be no possible way to get rid of Lalo without Gus revealing his true intentions. When a psycho killer like that comes uninvited into your appartment with you & your wife's life on the line, you could end up revealing everything. As viewers, we half expected him to tell the truth too. If it was just about protecting Saul, Mike wouldn't have asked him to record the conversation, he'd simply have waited until Lalo drew his gun to kill him first. He wanted to know if Jimmy would crack first, and what Lalo knew. Kim basically saved everyone a lot of trouble lol. On a seperate note, Mike would never kill him unless Gus gave him the ok first, after all their past disputes, he wouldn't risk it

Kim was so smart by calling out Lalo on what his suspicion was. When Lalo said Saul's car had a bullet hole in it, Kim was great thinking on her feet by asking if that's all he had and then saying that any abandoned car in the desert would probably get vandalized. Saul was still off his game from his travails in the desert and was off his game. If Kim hadn't been there, Lalo would have killed Saul. I hope Kim gets out alive and soon. She's too good for Saul

3:20 I just realized this is when Lalo decided to get Nacho with him to his house. Lalo took Kim's advice seriously when she said "You don't have anyone you can trust" and later "Get your house in order". At first Lalo was going away south on his own but when he returned from Jimmy and Kim's he said "Change of plans. Lets go Ignacio, we have a long way to go". In earlier episode you could see Jimmy asked Lalo why he doesn't ask Nacho to pick up money and he said he couldn't trust him with that much money. Kim was the one who changed Lalo's mind and he decided to make Nacho his man in the north. This is flawless writing and execution, a masterpiece of art!

Honestly I've been thinking about it, and I actually think that if you start an interaction with Lalo where he's trying to intimidate you, it actually means you're more likely to survive the situation than if he was acting totally chill. Lalo is the type of guy that has already decided he's going to kill you long before he actually does, and he doesn't need to be pissed off to do it; even if he's smiling warmly, he won't show any signs that your number is up. So if Lalo begins an interaction by leading with intimidation rather than action, it means you have _some_ sort of leverage keeping you alive, or he would've just shot you when you opened the door. I think Kim's standoff here was 50% due to her realizing that, and 50% Kim falling back on her apparent default defense mechanism of blame-shifting, as she does whenever she's in an uncertain situation.

Kim knew the truth and sensed weakness in Saul she stood up for him for both their survival. Saul although good at lying wasn't in his A game given the trauma he's still going through. Kim pushed it over the edge to bring it home. Lalo isn't stupid and hes hard to convince once he has a theory. He gave them the benefit of the doubt because it sounded plausible but just incase, he took extra measures.

@Mister Guy He doesn't know they are lying but Lalo has a 'nose' for situations that just don't seem quite right. I think this is one reason why they didn't have him say anything that might have resolved the situation. Kim's explanation was passionate and plausable but there are aspects of the story that just don't quite fit- like Jimmy saying "I don't think so" when asked "Did you push it in the ditch?" . Lalo typically does not let stuff go. My impression is that he is not sure WHAT to think at this point.
