I love how we went from the sniper rifle being introduced to take out Tuco (Mike changes his mind), then Mike actually purchases it to take out Hector (but never fires), before finally pulling the trigger on it here only to intentionally miss for a more clever outcome than just plain killing. It's almost like the ricin in Breaking Bad which was also introduced to take out Tuco, then Combo's killers, then Gus, then you think Brock took it, but never actually gets used on someone until the finale.

As soon as I saw the shoes in the opening, I was excited. Seeing Mike with the shoes, shooting into the air, and waiting for the right moment is one of my favorite moments to watch in this show. I vividly remember being confused at what he was doing; then, similar to you guys, as soon as I saw the drugs raining onto the back of the truck, it CLICKED!

I love the fact that Mike doesn't get the shoes on the first try. As skilled as he is, decades of military and police experience don't exactly equate to accuracy with a shoe bolo. Obviously it's not the only time we see him have moments of failure in these series, but its a nice little touch to reemphasize that, while a very rough guy, he's not superhuman.

Aside from wanting Jimmy's law license, I think Jimmy's speech convinced Chuck to take it easier on the punishment. Chuck started out with this whole honorable idea of helping his poor, delinquent brother face consequences and then build his life back up. Plus, he'd baited Jimmy there on the basis of Jimmy caring about his brother no matter what. Jimmy's speech pretty much told him outright: you're going to die alone because of how you treat your family. It made Chuck more acutely aware of what he'd done, which manifests as guilt, which he channels by trying to get Jimmy a lower sentence.

In a sense, Jimmy and Chuck are almost opposite: Jimmy does some really screwed up things with good intentions and reasonably without malice, it's just the messed up way he is, while Chuck does apparently good deeds with bad unconscious motives, with vendetta, despite, resentment and hypocrisy. Chuck is so big an ***hole that he eventually ***SPOILERT***!!

This is so unfair, Jimmy is a good lawyer and deserves to practice the law! All he did was staging an accident to get a client, take a bribe, forge documents, bribing some people, assist with stealing a police officer’s notebook and maybe some other stuff that I forgot. Slowly catching up with this show: I feel it's like watching "Titanic". You know how it ends and there is no way to avoid the collision with the Iceberg. We all know that Jimmy becomes Saul. A sleazy douchebag of a lawyer that only works for crooks and has absolutely no moral compass left. And all alone. Kim is not there any longer. He will lose her along the way. Seeing them together here, how good they are for each other at this point, it's heartbraking to know that it will all go to shit.
