even though Jimmy is basically told Lalo is dead, he literally just saw him come back from the dead and kill someone in front of him. Unless he sees the body which he never will he'll always be terrified of him, and that's why that was his reaction when Walt and Jesse kidnapped him

I think my favorite line of this episode is when Mike told Kim and Jimmy to "Keep telling the same lie you already were" to cover up what happened to Howard. And unintentionally telling them that Howard dying wouldve never happened if not for them. So great And also Lalo being buried in the lab a lot of people predicted, but that he's buried side by side with Howard is insane and so dark. Never gonna see the lab the same again haha

Him piggybacking the alibi/cover story on their scheme was the best way to go and rubbing that wound a little will help ensure WexlerMcGill quiet and gets in front of and self justifications, deglections or blame either of them may recover enough to offer.

theres no way kim takes off or breaks up with jimmy. she literally raised the gun when the door was opening. she was going to kill the "librarian" instead of going to the police or running away. that was her golden chance but she loved jimmy so much that she was willing to kill. if anything i think that jimmy will be mad, or at least a little mad, could be divorce-level mad or not, at kim because she hid the fact that lalo was still alive just for them to continue "getting off" to the howard humilition debacle. and jimmy was the more hesitant of the two when kim introduced the idea of the scam. also i feel like from now on, jimmy will take mikes command of forgetting that ever happened to heart and will become saul goodman as a facade to deal with the guilt, same as how he became happy again and told hamlin that it was his cross to bear when chuck died. but that only happened because he had the self-punishing hamlin to blame. this time, he has no one to blame except themselves. however, since kim hid the fact that lalo is alive from jimmy, i think kim might be his new person to blame, which will be conflicting to him because she is blameworthy and at the same time he loves her. but idk thats just my interpretations. altho lalos death was not as grand as i expected, i think it was still good trade off because hes not as important as jimmy in the story anyway so the fact that his death made the final five episodes' unpredictability (i literally have no idea what will happen since the greatest threat is dead) worth it

At the beginning of this season we saw Saul's opulent home. I have a hard time picturing Kim living there. We see men's clothes in the closet but no women's . Finally, we see some pink panties hanging on the tub. I find it hard to believe Kim would wear those. All the clues here point to Kim and Jimmy no longer being together. My guess is Kim leaves after seeing how destructive their relationship is. Howard's death proved everything he said. The fact she was willing to kill a man for Jimmy and was actually forced into that situation shows it. We've seen Jimmy slip (no pun intended) into the Saul persona after Chuck's death. That is his defense mechanism and why he came across so over the top when he met Walt. He was coping with Kim leaving him.

And also it’s sooo sad and super chilling that this whole time that Walter and Jesse were cooking in season 2-4 of breaking bad in the lab, Lalo Salamanca and Howard Hamlin were buried, just a few feet below them. 25:07 Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) actually did the stunt where he is kicked down the stairs, he had to do it 25 times

The biggest problem with the cover story is that the whole "Howard addicted to cocaine story" won't stand up to scrutiny. Except for the Sandpiper meeting, none of the people closest to Howard saw any sign that Howard was addicted to cocaine. Howard's secretary will back up all the details relating to the "phony detective" story and this will give Clifford Main doubts. And if Erin Brill tells Clifford about the con job she and Jimmy pulled, that's all it will take to see Jimmy as completely capable of pulling off the con job outlined by Howard. While the cops may be more than happy to close the case, I don't think things will go that smoothly.
