Congrats on your work Yesway went through your videos saw an amazing work, one thing i like is that your work is similar to microsoft 3d videos which is a style i really like, maybe just to give you an idea because ive been experimenting with papers in blender a lot, maybe you would like to show us a technique that you use for page twits, rolls or anything else related to that, have a great day!

Thx!!! Yeah Microsoft videos are so satisfying to watch. Great idea, I ussually use cloth modifier and some other things for paper stuff to get a real, clothy result. But ofc we can try using this curve modifier :)

Great. The thing is I'd like to have the modifier applied to only a selection of the mesh with a smooth transition between the deformed part and the rest of the mesh. I'll explain more if you are interested, the purpose being to have a procedural sculpting tool for organic objects (muscles, knees, sinews) I worked on it a bit but I can't pull it off by myself.

Hello buddy, how are you? My name is Lakhwinder Singh. Thank you so much for the wonderful video, I love it. Thank you so much for putting in the effort and valuable time in this video. I have so many questions in my mind. It's really helpful for me if you answer, thank you. 1) How many years have you been using Blender? 2) How many software are you using for commercial projects, like Blender and DaVinci Resolve, etc.? 3) I want to learn to reach a level like yours. Any tips for me? I learn every day or night. I follow Crossmind Studio tutorial videos, like the Geonodes series. How can I learn this at an advanced level? 4) How did you begin your journey? 5) Should I learn Houdini 20.5? 6) Waiting for your masterpiece video. Thank you! Love from India.

@@lakhwindersinghmj2095 Hey! Glad to hear that!! 1. 7 years 2. Blender + Da Vinci 3. You just need time. Its about learning stuff from tutorials and then using it in your projects. You start to see patterns and start using them in your own way. 4. I don't remember, I think I wanted to create a game in Unity haha. 5. I think this software is amazing, so yes! 6. 🥹

Thank you for a great tutorial, it solved a problem I've been struggling with. However, when the object moving along the curve approaches the end, it shrinks along the movement direction, it also happens in the starting end. This is especially noticeable if I try to loop the animation along a closed curve. I've tried different solutions but no success so far. Do you have any idea on how to solve this?
@yesway.studio29 күн бұрын
Yeah, it doesn't work unfortunately for looped curves, you would need to modulo the factor. I believe I made a small mistake in math, so try to download the source file and ttry the geo nodes setup from there. GL!

What modifiers should i use to make for example , a 3km long curve path to go inclined for like 60mts at the end. The road is twisted and have many corners and making it a realistic inclining road is very hard.
@yesway.studio20 сағат бұрын
I think u should try looking for a tutorial specific for this problem, having roads bend "naturally" is quite difficult :/
@ShanKs13 ай бұрын
How did you do these moves? Can you explain them fully please? 6:39
@yesway.studio3 ай бұрын
haha, it's a bit more complicated but not in short I used this custom curve modifier and just add a vector mix node and use the factor to apply the strength of the displacement. So the same geo nodes setup, just add the v mix node.

Is there a way to do this for a dynamic cloth ribbon?
@yesway.studio20 сағат бұрын
Idk honestly. U can create the basic shape with that but cloth modifier won't work as intended when u use the slider. Simulations overwritte the geometry info (unless it's scaling)

@yesway.studio3 ай бұрын
haha, thanks! Yeah, it requires some thinking but if you do geo nodes often you can see some patterns and solutions come to head much easier. And ofc some math knowledge haha
@juan_0007Ай бұрын
sorry but I am facing a really annoying issue, I checked really carefully if the nodes were plugged together correctly and it all seems good, but using the modifier I notice that the object that's being curved doesn't run trough all the curve because the factor stops to zero, I barely solved it putting a subtract of 0.22 to the factor but it's a bit annoying that It doesn't work perfectly following the tutorial, btw thanks for the video it was really helpful.
@yesway.studioАй бұрын

@yesway.studio29 күн бұрын
Hahah. Just add a bezier curve or add a single vertex, extrude it and add subdivision surface to make it smooth. Good luck!
@neilmarshall50879 күн бұрын
In the Blender Addons find and activate the Extra Curve Objects Addon. Then you have a Add > Curve > Curve Spirals > Archemedian option available. Yes they have it spelled wrong. Add an Archimedian spiral, set Turns and Height to 5 (in the pop up Options Window) and you have close to the same Spiral Curve as in the video. Check out all the other curve shapes too. And activate the Extra Mesh Objects also. Read the manual. Only the parts you want to learn. TAKE NOTES. This will cut off months of stumbling around in YT looking. Again: TAKE NOTES. And Bookmark everything useful. There are no dumb questions.....
