Wooden cat face would mount on wall or cabinet and you could slide your kitchen towel up inside it to hang. There are many versions of this type of kitchen or bathroom hand towel hanger.

Oh dear. That was a really great price on the Somayaki tea cups you put back. They aren't Otaguri but are Somayaki which is characterized by the running horse and double walled cup. They are really neat because with the double wall you can have your tea super hot in they cup. You don't burn your hands due to the extra wall and the tea stays warm considerably longer. My set is from the 80's. If you look up comps you will see the cups are higher under their real name. Just a friendly fyi. Love watching your show. 😁

My mom had a set of those somayaki double walled mugs back around 1960. She probably got them at the old Cost Plus store in San Francisco where we lived at the time. Brings back memories!

The little fawn-colored, black masked dog (did you say maybe chalkwear?) is a Boxer. Great Dane tails are not usually docked. In fact there is a movement to stop cropping ears, too. 😃

Those cups are somayaki not otagiri. They are made in the Fukushima area of Japan. The history is super interesting. The running horse is a good indicator that they are somayaki.

I inherited a big set of Somayaki glasses & teapot from my Mother in Law after she passed. The set is from the late 80's I believe. They are truly beautiful imho and have exceptional details. I love them.💜

She left me all of her Japanese collectibles. Some made by her. Sure really love the Somayaki tea set. I was so surprised when it was the items she left it to me.

That little car planter you got is from the late 1950s to early 1969s (my mother collected them). Also, the porcelain butterflies you left on the steps were, vintage home interiors dating to the late 1970s (my sister used to sell it back then via home parties).

The clothes pins ahhh wooden clothes pins are expensive. Some places bag them and sell them in lots. They’re great for crafting. Always good to have on hand. Especially for scavenger hunts. Lol.

If you soak the dishes/things with packing tape on them in dishsoap and warm water, the tape will melt right off.
