Here in Houston “ignoring” people when they’re waiting to get by and the screaming children seems to be universal. You seem to keep your cool and that’s probably the best advise you could give. Jocelyn- I am from Punxsutawney ( Home of the Groundhog) , anyway my husband had a business trip to York today (Monday) and I said I’m coming! I want to go to Finder’s Keepers where Jocelyn shops!!!! I received 3 vintage glasses and the lady wrapped it really good. There was cardboard between each glass and the glasses had bubble wrap inside and outside plus more paper filler for I was impressed

You are very fortunate to have Goodwill outlets that are usually large, well organized and have items/products that are usually reusable/resaleable. Here in Toronto, Canada, I feel that Goodwills are not not the same let alone make a living reselling; this is my opinion anyway.

I always thought it was because they have a bigger population. But Toronto is huge. So that’s not it. It must be great! Outs are 1/3 the size. There are only 3 aisles and those are less 1/3 the size of Jocelyn’s.

Congrats on the bowl! The bear looks a lot like the Coke bear. I would love to visit a store with more than 1 or 2 items, if I'm lucky. I can't imagine finding a cart full. It's always fun to watch you fill your cart. I have about decided that all the older people who move south in retirement leave the good stuff up north before they head this way. My local goodwill prices have been rediculous but the great thing they definitely don't know about any of the things that are actually valuable. My favorites are the local thirfts that also operate for a good cause and as a marketing strategy accept other stores coupons. Me too. I've been with ebay since it was new and nothing. I bought a house back when the banks were loaning on no proof of income. It was a total fixer upper. Whole remodel, built a garage, a second garage and then a rental. Before I knew it my mortgage was $5k a month. The rental helped but my little animal control salary wasn't cutting it. I shopped obsessively. Listed and packed for shipping at night and mailed on my lunch hour. For the past few years I've just been buying. It's time to sell again.

I love those round cups that have the textured plastic. We had the set growing up as kids. They were great because in hot weather when glass sweats you could always still hang on to them. You have more in your cart than you showed us. CUrious what the face thing is. At 15:09 those are in very good condition. In the 1950's mid century modern decor would have a pair of glass dishes just sitting on the coffee table for show. That was a really nice pair as you often cannot find them as pairs. anymore.

When I go thrifting I take along some bubble wrap/newspaper/what ever to put on the bottom of the cart to keep things from shifting. May even grab a shirt (not to buy) to protect things.

Crazy lamp lady i had the same experience yesterday that I encountered at goodwill, they thought I was invisible say excuse me they don't respond, say it again (excuse me) no reply, people going the wrong way & the ones that are really bad have their cart parked in the middle and they're just walking around having to touch each item and don't buy any of them. I got to the point where I had it and couldn't wait to go check out and vacant the store.

Great fireking bowl i found 1 at an estate sale about 15 years ago & it had a turquoise plastic topped dehumidifier electric top bowl mint top bad this is why there probably a rare decoration at least the large size bowl is all i have ever seen thought it was a interesting bit of info to pass on.

Hi Jocelyn! That bowl with the blue and gold on it was made by Heisey Glass Co. It had the diamond H in the center. I believe it was pattern #1184 Yeoman floral bowl. The blue and gold was added by an outside company. You bought some gorgeous pieces, as you always find at your GW's. Thanks for sharing!

At 19:44 you picked up a small green thing with a bunny on it and said it was modern. That mark on the back looked like bordello pinheiro which I collect. One plate is at least $50. Pinheiro made lots of plates and artwork in the 1800's in Portugal

Goodwills where I live would have items similar to the age and quality of your 1.99 items priced at a minimum of 6.99. They are definitely trained to recognize vintage pieces and more common identifying marks and price them up. I worked for Value Village (a.k.a. Savers) and know that our pricers were trained like that. And they were trained to mark up items that they thought resellers might want. You're so lucky to have stores like yours! I have an Etsy store and I feel like we keep a similar stock of treasures!

Hi, the little red pitcher that had Niagara falls on it. Was a blue mountain pottery piece from Northern Ontario. They no longer make it. The pottery isn't made any longer. Comes in red, blue /green colors

You kill me with stacking things on top of the other. Especially the delicate ceramic/glass pieces. 😳 Why don’t you just go into the blankets section, Perhaps find a cool one, or just any old blanket, open it and pad the bottom of your cart, then when you find great items you can “mold” it around / between each item to protect each item. Then you can either decide to buy the “blanket” if it’s kool, or put it back before you go in line to pay. Just a thought 💕
