Regarding tomatoes and sea water -- I have heard stressing the plant lightly greatly improves the flavor of tomatoes (the stress induces different plant chemicals that improve flavor). Tomato peeps say mix an aspirin in a gal of water and give that to stress them a bit and the fruit tastes great which is the same principle.

Fill 1/4 full of course sand Fill 1/4 full of Older chicken poop. Fill one inch on top of more sand. On your hill bury the can one inch above the level of hill. Plant watermelon seeds out about 1-2" from where the holes will drain from the can as you fill the can daily Okay enjoy your watermelons (also canolope)

Try growing water melon at the base of a wall. Concrete, rock, steep slope facing the sun, etc. on a slope facing perpendicular to the summer sun was the way I got a ripe watermelon. This year they'll be planted by a concrete wall
@davidthegood6 жыл бұрын
I had a friend who grew them on black plastic in Tennessee. She said the extra heat helped them ripen.
@ecocentrichomestead67836 жыл бұрын
it seems they need heat to set fruit and then two months of warm to grow. that's my experience anyway. so if I can get fruit set by late July, I should be able to get a ripe melon.

How do you control insects, bugs and worms etc. Pecans, if you mulch that tree a foot or more deep and keep the mulch three or four feet away from the trunk you will have pecans in 6 0r 7 y3ears and gobs of pecans in 12 to 15 years. I used my yard mower clippings dumped and spread under the tree. You will also have volunteer true seeded pecans from the ones that come up at the edges. Did you locate near the equator to get farther from the effects of the Grand Solar Minimum?

The World has always gotten colder and then warmer, why cry about it or blame a country for natural concurrences ? The Government is not a fixed object, It, like everything else is always open for massive adjustments, usually against the will of those who would want it not to be :)

Lovely! what are your thoughts on 'no dig'?
@davidthegood6 жыл бұрын
In some situations it works well. For annual gardens I prefer digging. If I have an area of hard clay I'd like to improve slowly over time, I'll pile up a lot of organic material and let it rot down there until the ground softens. If I need food quickly, I dig and amend with compost.

Yahshua - you know Him as Jesus - was born to a virgin, turned water to wine, taught, healed the sick, raised the dead, casted out demons, walked on water, and calmed the storm, among many other things. He was killed on the cross as payment for the sins of all mankind, three days later He rose from the dead. Forty days later He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He is returning very soon, but before He does, Satan, the devil, is coming to pretend to be Jesus/God. Satan is an angel, and he will have certain supernatural powers with which to try to fool everyone. He will, for example, be able to make fire come down from heaven in the sight of men. He will only be on earth a short time before the real King of Kings, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, returns. When the real Jesus comes we will all be transformed into our spiritual bodies at the same moment. Jesus came in the flesh to offer forgiveness of sins and eternal life to anyone who believes and calls on His precious name!! Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. - Matthew 26:6-13
