Less Kyuss, more... Karma to Burn... or a less-heavy SloBurn? It doesn't quite have the same feel as Homme's licks, but it's got something special of its own. So... It is quite f***ing good! I'm just learning to play guitar after being a synth/drum machine nerd for 20+ years, and I can only dream of nailing that tone so damn well; I drooled.

It feels ironic that in the 20 or so year history of amp simulation that one of the biggest things we all learned is how the cabinet sound is as important if not more important than the direct sound of the amp. So much fuss was made about and engineering time spent on the magic of tubes (and don't get me wrong, they're still a big deal, glad the modeling has improved so much) when manufacturers would have been better off really honing the skill of making quality cabinet simulations (IR or otherwise).

Hey, the Sample is amazing gear......... with one GLARING exception, which is the absolutely bizarre audio-based data transfer system, which was somehow released in a time when USB, SD, and microSD all existed and were all commonly found in much cheaper electronics. It's great that they've finally addressed it in the Sample 2 (though they also made it harder for Pajen to mod, so it's kind of a wash), but it took them like 6 years to do it! WTF KORG, YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS!

Possible mod suggestion if you manage to actually yank the back panel off. If you drill a hole through the back panel mount a jack socket to it wire the built in amp output plus and minus to one side and the other to the speaker you can insert a jack breaking the feed to the built in speaker and use any cab you want using a long speaker cable so long as the external cab has the right impedance

AudioPilz some of the coolest stuff comes from messing around with stuff or using something in a way it wasn’t intended for example the original pro co rat pedal gets its sound from the fact it’s op amp was not built for handling guitar signals hence it’s less fizzy fuzz tone. When I saw this video it made me think of this kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4bNp6aCj615mLM while not the same it shows what adaptability can offer. If it wasn’t for les Paul Frankensteining two tape recorders together we wouldn’t have had multitrack recording for as long as we have. Keep up the great work and keep exploring

Maybe it is just my Micron, but every preset has the same parameters mapped to the knobs and sliders, and for some sounds that just isn't ideal. I started mapping the knobs to other parameters and then got bored and it has been in the box ever since. The size is perfect for what it is. If it had an IEC connector for power that would improve it as well. Damn, now I want to go get it out of the box.

I know im a bit late, but is there objectively bad Guitar Amp Sound? Of course, an unmodded Spider would be awful for someone playing Classic Rock or Traditional Heavy Metal, which while being distorted, still need a bit of a clean sound. But for Noise Rock and Industrial that sound is pretty amazing, since with most other amps its impossible to achieve that kind of compressed sound without external effects. And at the same time the Spider Line of Amps is pretty cheap
