Better Iron Cross Craps Strategy?

I think this strategy will often take too many rolls to recoup and see a profit. You’d need a lot to go your way early or you’re fighting to just break even on the shooter. Like I’ve mentioned before, I prefer early risk with bigger bets. Strategies in which you’re playing with house money after 2 or 3 rolls. I’d like to see some new hybrid strats that incorporate early risk. I’ve been playing $160 across looking for 2 hits, then pulling down and using house money… I need something new and exciting lol.

Thanks for picking my startegy to showcase! Rough rolling this time around, but was still fun to watch. Read through comments - i like the idea of 2x units on 5,6,8 during iron cross part so you can get to spread to outer numbers much more quickly. That way field is only on the line for one roll. Then, after that roll, regress back to one unit on each number. Basically need to "survive" the one roll after the point to get most numbers covered, then regress back to the ~$40 risk, and pick up the rest of the tower strategy from there.

I like this strategy. I was just talking with my friend about how we like the iron cross but staying on too long doesn’t make money. Using a single field hit to get in the box is pretty ideal for this. Lately all my strategies have been about cheaply but quickly (1-2 hits) getting across and then going aggro, and the tower makes it pretty fun. I’ve tried iron cross with just using the field to press 5/6/8 but it still took a while to get any bank going

I used the iron cross method on a cruise recently and it worked out great. I stayed in the field longer than I should have and I collect more instead of press. Thanks for the videos and the tips. Watching your videos gave me the confidence to play a live game instead of the video craps ( which aren’t bad)

I actually refer to the field as a “farmers market.“ By which I mean, I go there once to get hits and then I let it go. I also bet 15 in the field because one hit covers everything else. I’m going to try this though on the old kitchen table but I wanted to throw my two cents in for how are use the field

How I use the Iron Cross is, whatever I use in the field I double on the numbers. Example, $50 on the #5 #6 #8 and $25 in the field. Three to four hits and down to the table minimum.

Funny you mentioned maybe a storm coming in- I'm watching this video as it's storming here. Had to turn up the volume cuz of the thunder lol. I would press up my 4s and 10s and buy them. Payouts are better. You could call it the "goal post" strategy bc it would look like a goal post with only the ends tall :)

Same I used it on a cruise, the other players were befuddled about my methods. While they were just going for the 6-8 hits and the occasional "all the hard ways" not many stayed, while I played all night and won over 1500

I use a similar strategy but go up one more unit on the 5,6 and 8 so that you can use the winnings to cover one more box number if I hit in the middle.

After getting out of the iron cross? I’d throw the $2 change in each hit in for either $2 crap or C&E so that way you are still hitting a point for a $12 press and using the spare $2 to cover all the numbers. Besides 7 of course.

From my viewpoint, not the most rational way to play. Takes many rolls to get to building a tower plus there's no guarantee that you will at least recoup your money cause it all depends on hitting that tower number. Big fan of your super iron cross strategy though. Basically my go-to for the time being. Keep up the good work!

Can you do a deeper dive on how to play the 678 strategy? I see a ton of people playing the Dont Pass Bar and then place the 6 and 8 and always seem to build a stack pretty steadily.

It is called a Don't Pass bet. "Bar 12" means that if a 12 is rolled on the come out, it is a push.

This sounds like a hedge strategy that can go well if you end up with a good don’t. So say it is a $10 table. You would do a don’t pass for $20 (or $24 if you wanted), then place the 6/8 for $12 each. Personally i leave the bets there even if the point ends up being 6/8. Then just hope you get a bunch of place hits before the 7, but even if it’s a quick 7 you will break even because of the don’t

Intetesting...I like to be on the inside numbers for $44, this takes the $44, but gives you all the numbers initially, then gets you to 5 numbers. Once on the box numbers, I think I'd like to get my initial investment back before I start pressing

I've watched quite a few of your videos... honestly I like that there are different strategies but I get confused which to ACTUALLY play. Do I Iron Cross (5, 6, 8, field) or Split Sisters (5, 6, 8, 9) or something else? I need a go to strategy to approach "regularly" and then branch out from there. 3 point molly seems too expensive as I can't afford to "max odds" each time I play. Thoughts?

Just like you eliminated 3 point Molly, you eliminate strats that don’t fit your budget, style, comfort level. Try them, even at home, until you find one you like and your comfortable with. I think it’s also not bad idea to have 2 or 3 you like.

First of all, you started out with the WORST version of the Iron Cross because with the rolls of the 5,6 and 8, you are ONLY collecting $4 in profit, when it should be at LEAST $10 for EVERY troll of the dice EXCEPT for the seven! So, you SHOULD'VE had a total of $51 across for the box numbers of $15 on the 5, and $18 EACH on 6 and 8, and $10 in the Field. The actual BETTER or BEST version of the Iron Cross is when you have a 3 to 1 ratio of the BOX numbers to the Field bet! Therefore, you could have put $25 on the number 5, and $30 EACH on the 6 and 8, and $10 in the Field for a slightly better than 3 to 1 ratio.

Jeremy, Like your presentations and the way you objectively present strategies folks send you. In your own videos you've proven beyond All doubt, that the Iron Cross from the don't, where you have more on the don't to cover the losses from the light side, That IC wins better than any IC that's Not from the don't. You were up Many Many hundreds on The IC from the Don't...Many Hundreds More than Any IC you've ever done without the don't. This losing IC failed and lacked a don't. Worse, since you Know, not opinion, but mathematically you know 60% of the time a shooter Never hits his point--the math proves it makes No sense to use a system that bulks up winnings from other numbers to an "established point" that's Known to be a 60% loser. It's doomed to fail based on mathematical facts. This "strategy" just proved 2 huge reasons why this failed and will fail over & over. The basic math of the game and law of large numbers rules. With 7 of 12 shooters out by point +6, (58% 7-out---Wizard of Odds), having Any straight light sided play the first 6 rolls Is Mathematically doomed to fail 7 of 12 times. A PSO should regularly be expected. This is one more excellent example of failure to follow the math facts of the game--which starts out Dark sided, grows to dark gray, then to light gray, then Finally light sided only. Folks need to develop systems which transition their play as the game moves from stage to stage. Watching these "light side only" strategies folks send in makes as much sense as watching a Baccarat table where nearly All the players play Only the "Player" hand, and never the "Dealer" hand. You'd NEVER see that happen at a Baccarat table because the Math of That game proves you'll Also lose Baccarat with such a failure prone "strategy" which ignores the basic math of the game.. Time to educate folks in the math of the game and show strategies that show how to play to win. The game starts dark. like that, don't like that, it's objective mathematical facts. You're in a Great position to grow folks to follow the math of the game.
