The Beatles may have been an early incarnation of a 'boyband' in the mod swinging 60s, but they were also accomplished musicians and grew out of 'boyband' pop status very quickly and into a rock band, whilst The Rolling Stones were never a boyband, always a rock band, even if they did still appeal to teen girls. It’s like he has this love/hate relationship with himself. Very complex human being, but he also has his heart in the right place for sure. I would also recommend anyone the documentary ‘Nobody Someday’ from 2001/2002. A film that follows him on tour with his highs and lows. He’s not afraid to be human.

Rob's voice in the narration sounds strange... unlike the Preview Trailer. Very much looking forward to seeing this. As a long time TT and Rob fan, I'd have to say it seems like we're getting to see a part of his story we normally aren't exposed to. Normally documentaries and interviews on Rob's story cover the Take That stardom, alcoholism and jealousy that led to a break from the group, fall from grace, solo superstardom and second fall from grace. This one seems to give more of an introspective of a childhood dream that motivated him to eventually achieve solo superstardom, and a deep relationship with his Nan that was a big part of that. Very interesting. Though I'm wondering how the other 'boys' are feeling about this film and if this is the reason their relationship seems distant again.

Not sure why Robbie never hit it here in the US. He's got some great songs and tremendous charisma and creativity. Maybe this movie will get through to people over here.
@RocStarr91328 күн бұрын
He musically never really stood out here. A lot of his popularity was from his celebrity from having been in the boy band Take That, which only had one hit in America at the very end of their original run.

He is also a great live went to one of his concerts and I did love him even more after that he is a great artist love him to bits ❤❤❤

Some UK musicians just never attempt to break into the US market. Girls Aloud are huge in the UK but never heard of them until after they broke up, and it was only from discovering a music video randomly on YT.

The reviews for this movie are like off the charts - I didn’t think I’d be interested in the movie, but now that I’ve seen the trailer and read the reviews I’m really looking forward to seeing it

Saw it yesterday and it’s still stuck with me. It’s amazingly, brutally honest and we cried from first frame until the last. It’s the best biopic I’ve ever seen and it’s so human under all the visuals. This is a must see - but expect a heartbreaking gritty mental health and addiction story.

I honestly wanna take a whack at this flick, and I'm not really into music biopics. Really unique take.

Years ago I read the auto biography of Robbie Williams and loved that book. I think I am going to love this movie. My all-time favourite male performer!

I believe in Ray Heffernan - without whom, nobody would be talking about Robbie Williams - about time Chamber and Williams acknowledged this in every way

Y'ALL. The fact that this exists is one of the most exciting moments in my life. The fact that it's going to be in available in America is blowing my mind rn! Spent the last twelve years trying to explain to people who've literally never heard of Robbie williams that he is one of the greatest pop stars of all time. OUR BOY IS FINALLY GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES HERE IN AMERICA!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉

Robbie Williams Biopic ‘Better Man’ Tanks With $1 Million Debut. The movie buying American public went out and plunked down their money on what was in their minds eye a Better Film instead. Spend another 12 years explaining to people why this film sucked.

I have been lucky enough to watch this movie at the premiere and it blew my mind. It's fantastic and I think it was a great decision to portray him as a monkey. It's brutal and emotional, I absolutely loved this movie.

Hope it gets nominated at the oscars for "best song" and "special visual effects". Rock on--
@tashassims6383Ай бұрын
I don't think that "Best Song" will be a thing since only songs originally written for a movie can be nominated AFAIK.

Ahahaha. That. Will never happen. In the US we don’t even know who he is, or his band Take That. Movies that go straight to streaming don’t win Oscar’s
