I ended up using some of my little sister's old 'bejewled' type stickers she had. The kind of stuff they sell to girls to slap on random stuff. They work surprisingly well

@@BoofHoover If you don't mind difficulty color-matching, they work pretty well. Some have texture, as well, which I find can add a bit of depth to things. That might not be for everyone, though. It's probably not technically 'on model' after all.

Both my wife and I build gunpla, sci-fi and mecha kits, we also do art on the side. With that being said we source supplies from all over. Case in point check the paper craft isles for gell-stickers etc. jewelry resin and dyes to fill the lens recess after metallic painting or even hasegawa holographic decal sheets, DIY jewelry isles at most craft and hobby stores have much cheaper alternatives that produce the same effect which these look as if they came from said isle. Hell even the back of a silver or gold thumbtack with a transparent gloss paint. The less you spend on this the more you spend on kit purchases- source it!!!

A low-cost option that I found really good is a chrome marker pen and then a bondic acrylic pen and then color it with a sharpie of your choosing. Very convincing effect use it for a lot of scopes.

I usually use some beads from the jewelry making aisle in hobby lobby or stickers for bedazzling. Anything is better than the bandai stickers.

Have you considered the Swarovski iron on/glue on crystals you can get from Hobby Lobby? They come in packs of 12-36, or something like those numbers, based on the crystal size. I used them on my MG Zaku F2 for the monoeye and the bazooka sensor. Had to add a bit of tubing on the part the monoeye goes on in order to glue the crystal on to give it more support and the bazooka sensor just needed some light sanding for the crystal to seat. But it looks great and the crystals pick up light from everywhere. Currently, doing the same thing for a gouf custom i'm working on. The packs are about $6-7 a pack. But hobby lobby regularly has them on discount for 50% off or you can use the once a day for 1 item at full price 40% coupon hobby lobby has.

You can get all sorts of Rhinestone stickers and similar shit pretty easy the problem is finding ones with the smooth dome surface like these have.

Those stickers u can get at wal mart or any nail shop or places that girls shop like Claire's for a bit more they are called nail stickers I only know cuz my mum works a nail shop lol. So hope that helps

I agree. I think it sucks that Bandai is still going with foil stickers for the scope. It's why I prefer when they *at least* go with the foil sticker that you cover with a clear piece. I think this would be good if it also came in the rectangle shape as some scopes are rectangular.
