+OSHO not the point. Shes wearing the hijab which shows some devotion to her religion hence highly unlikely to drink alcohol. For a guy who has done so much travelling and pretends to be cultured, extremely rookie mistake.
@2321channel8 жыл бұрын
+DeparturetimeArsenal Looks don't matter that much, a girl who might not wear a hijab could be a million times more devoted to her faith.
@WHYOSHO8 жыл бұрын
DeparturetimeArsenal I mean we honestly don't know for sure how devote she is. It's all based on the perceptions we individually obtain from this video. It was likely a mistake; from Louis and looking at the other videos she seemed like it didn't effect her spiritually. Regardless though; this was in the past. Louis would hopefully recognize his mistakes and move on.

Hey louis, hows it going ? Obviously you know me on a personal level but i just wanted to add to what Taim was saying. As a British/south african living in and growing up in Dubai for 16 years of my 21 years, I definitely saw many different sides to Dubai and in particular the comparison between the local and western culture's. I fully understand what Taim was saying about muslim girls or local woman being shy and not wanting to vlog and explore etc and I just wanted to inform you that this issue is very different between the western and the local culture. I had many British friends and even went to a British curriculum school known as The english college and I know for a fact that my westernized lifestyle and environment in Dubai is very different to Taim's lifestyle. Dont get me wrong as I did and still do have many local Arab friends and whilst living there the things I learnt and experienced in comparison to each culture was truly amazing. Dubai will forever be a home to me and I would not trade living there for anything. The reason why I am telling you about this stuff is just so you kind of get as much input to your research and It just makes me so happy to see you doing this whole project and especially in Dubai. So please if you want to ask me any kind of questions or get a westerner's view into the situation then feel free to hit me up :) I moved there when i was 2 years old in 1997 and left in 2013 and will make sure I end up back there one day ! especially since my mom and dad are stiil there :) So thanks again for doing what you are doing and keep up with the good work bro !

we Muslims do not drink alcohol never and God will punish us if we do that ! if there is some muslims that drinks it they represent their selves only before you judge islam you should read about it first - الترجمة : احنا المسلمين ما نشرب كحول ابدا وهذا الاشي حرام في دينا والله يعاقبنا عليه لكن في بعض المسلمين يشربون وهذول يمثلون انفسهم ما يمثلون الاسلام ، اتمنى اي شخص قبل يحكم عن الاسلام يبحث عنه ، لايك بالله خليه يوصل لفوق يشوفوه الاجانب :(

After I watched your Ethiopia vid, I also watched an ITV documentary on KZbin, it was Joanna Lumley who travelled the length of the Nile from the Med to its source, a mere trickle in Rwanda. When she was in Ethiopia she went to a ladies house, got her kit off and put on a black gown and sat on a seat with a hole in it with that smoky perfume under it. Apparently, its also very popular there for women about to get married and then they continue doing it weekly. She also loved the place.

Taim is talking about her life in Dubai that is so good because she's local thats why they have free everything and their so spoilt and have all the money in this world. I think there are different issues in the middle east than a women going on the internet and vlogging and exposing her self. If you ask me a person who is international and has been living in Dubai for more than 10 years the only thing I want to them to change is the way they compare between people no one is equal, you can see the very rich people and the poor people who pays the taxes who pays for hospitals who pays for everything so you local people can get it for free. You always differentiate us. Im currently living in NZ and they treat people evenly there is no "he's local and he's international" there is no "he's rich and poor" the government helps everyone who is in need! I wish all arab countries can learn a little from their neighbours 😊

I think you got a very lop-sided view of the problems in the gulf Arab States from people who are frankly highly privileged in that part of the world. The real, tragic problems that you won't hear about and the people who really don't have a platform there are the massive numbers of migrant workers from Southern and Eastern Asia who live and work in terrible conditions, often lured by the promise of pay which never actually materialises, and have in many cases had their passports confiscated. They are effectively slave workers, and it's so sad because they often make these moves to countries such as the UAE to send money home and better the lives of their children. I hope you get to see this comment Louis because hearing how Dave spoke about the Solvey project in terms of it giving a voice to the voiceless, I really believe it's a great thing. I just hope it's targeted towards the people who deserve it most. Cheers 👍

I feel like Taim was speaking about problems in Dubai from a very privileged, upper-class perspective. What about the serious problems with exclusion of minorities, enslavement of migrant workers, vast wealth disparity, etc.? It seems to me those are some of the SERIOUS problems Solvey could put their brain trust behind over girls being too shy to become vloggers.
@ayouaa8 жыл бұрын
+Nicole Kavanaugh As far as I know women's rights is a pretty big issue everywhere. Taim is a woman, with a largely female audience throughout the Middle East. This is what she is passionate about, and she has the ability to actually help with that issue at the forefront. While you're definitely right, importance of issues on a personal level varies from person to person.
@nikkiktamu8 жыл бұрын
Aya Elomrani Of course women's issues are important and valid issues to discuss. But what really bothered me is how dismissive Taim seemed to be about the serious problems I listed in my initial comment. She said that "We have free health care, we have free education, we're very spoiled here, one one of the happiest countries in the Arab world is Dubai." This seems to imply that everything is great in Dubai, when in reality it fails to acknowledge that she is speaking from a privileged position. Free health care and free education are only available to Emiratis, and only 16% of the population in UAE is Emirati. The other 84% of the population is largely composed of underprivileged expats of Asian and South Asian descent who do not and never will have access to the services or quality of life that Taim enjoys. It is important, essential even, to acknowledge that when portraying problems in Dubai to the world.
