The best way to reach big companies that are arrogant (Amazon, UPS, etc) is through their Twitter. I’ve seen videos of tons of people who get terminated ‘by accident’ on Amazon--like their software just randomly picks accounts to terminate. It sounds sooo sketchy! I really enjoyed seeing these options. Thank you. ❤ Note: traditional publishing pays almost nothing and they don’t market your book; they expect you to do it. You end up making peanuts or even less. It’s a lot of work.

I've written a book of short, soft horror/fantasy stories that I want to publish, but now I don't know which way to turn. This is so disappointing and upsetting. My account was terminated on kdp as well but I've got many warnings before it happened. They have strict rules but if you publish high content books written by you, and you can prove you have the copy rights, so I see no reason for fear. But when you sign the aggreament they do say they can terminate your account for no reason any time they want.

14:59 I have heard that if you are terminated by kdp and you try to get your books published by a different publisher and have them listed on Amazon that publisher will also ban you because you are banned on kdp. Have you actually published any books since your ban? I was banned in April for no obvious reason and I did publish on Barnes and Noble but I've not made any sales. This is true. Of course, they would need to know it’s you or your account. 🤣 I’ve heard authors say their books were auto published to KDP and they had to request to have it removed. I know for sure D2D says they don’t want to harm their relationship with KDP so if you get banned you can use them they just won’t publish your book on KDP.

I had a journal on kdp, someone switched the interior print from color to black and white. Printed a copy and replaced my authors color copy with the black and white interior. Kdp swears it could not be done but it was. I don't know when it was switched it was a authors copy. It was switched in my apartment. I have no clue how many sales I had. My account was hacked.

Heyy! Yes. They paid me the $67000 (March) then suspended my account (April ish May), gave it back to me then terminated my account (May). They did keep about $500 or so dollars tho - since they take 60 days to payout.

DIY can be difficult if you receive many orders. A good alternative would be to mass-print your books in a factory, and store the merchandise in your house or warehouse to ship them to your customers.

Having your own ISBN allows you to use it anywhere so the same book and same format (hardcover/paperback) would have the same ISBN.

Obviously if, as you tell us, your Amazon account was terminated without explanation, that is hard. But . . . Have you no idea at all why this might have happened? Not even a faint suspicion, even though you might disagree with Amazon? I am also a little puzzled by your comment that Amazon are not at all helpful. I have so far published about 13 books on Amazon and I have found both their online system as well as their human 'system' useful and helpful. Apart from that there is a KDP community whose members are always more than willing to suggest solutions if you have a problem. It is, of course, a matter of personal experience, but I think those watching your video should be aware there are other views to the one you hold.

They may not terminate your account for NO reason, but they will terminate your account for no good reason.

I use Lulu because I publish low-content books such as planners and journals. I am currently working on writing my first non-fiction book and plan to try publishing with Archway Publishing or Ingram as the main. However, my KDP account was reinstated so I will also publish there.
