Just disconnected my RDC and disabled my TPMS to kill that damn light on my dash. Did the same with some DRL's that kept popping up on the dash. Love me some Protools.

Did you say you got Esys working on an M1? I had to keep my old Macbook pro runing bootcamp. But if you have it working with parallels, can you make a video showing us how you got it to work? That would be awesome. Great video by the way, thanks for this. Bimmer Utility is pretty cool. I ended up just buying bimmercode, bimmer utility, and bimmer tools. lol...

I got it to work on the M1 Macbook Pro running VMWare when it got support for M1. No experiance on Parallels, unfortuntely but the performace was not ideal and the E-Sys would crash often, so I would not ultimately recommend it. I ended up purchasing a old windows laptop off Ebay for $300 which works well for this case.

Do changes get wiped after a system update?

Yes, after a OTA software update, most changes gets overwritten back to factory. If you save a backup of your changes, you can just apply the backup and everything is back!

Good video, however bimmercode is pronounced bimmercode, not beemercode. But maybe it's the accent?

No one says "bimmer" anymore. Beemer is the accepted pronunciation for bimmer. Yes they used to mean different things but English changes, and being a snob about the pronunciation doesn't help
