How to fold mirrors with the key fob? I have BMW F15. I can do that by holding the lock button. But is there a way to make them fold with one touch.

Yes, there should be values under the mirror fold via fob option. Select value 0 seconds.

Hey thanks for the vid, you did manage to answer a few questions I had partially. The most important thing that I wanted this app for (deciding between this and a scanner that does the same but cost a pinch more) was my adaptive headlight, lci tail lights and rear wiper. I wanted to troubleshoot the fault so I can fix it and code the tail light. Now I’m guessing that the same process goes for the tail lights as was the license plate, my question is by removing the cold and warm check will I no longer be notified should they go out. Also since you are by now more experienced with the app (no need for a video) would you be able to tell me if it’s possible to specifically or narrow down the problem with my adaptive headlight and rear wiper. Thanks again for the vid, it helped make my decision to purchase the app, just need to check if the tablet I bought is compatible

Hi I’m glad the video helped. Yes, once you doable cold and warm checks, you will no longer be notified if the bulb goes bad. As far as headlight and wiper, the app will scan and read if there is an error, but it won’t tell you exactly what it is. It may say adaptive error only and you have to figure out what’s wrong with it.

why does my protools take literally 5 mins to get to the main menu? is this normal? It's really frustrating to use when you have to wait so long for it to go through all the parameters and checks. What am I doing wrong and is there a setting once you are on the home screen to change this? I tried to look but found nothing. thanks for your help.

What cable are you using? And what tablet/phone? My tablet was the cheapest I could find. If I start the tablet and hook up right away, it is very slow. Here’s what I do, start the tablet, let it boot up for 5 min or so and then connect. I also use the bimmergeeks cable which is fast. Make sure your tablet is updated and the app is also updated.

I have a mini cooper with FRM issue. I have a diagnostic tool car will no longer read OBD2 will this app and hardware read the obd2. Since my diagnosis tool can no longer read it.

It’s possible it may still read it. You can download the app for free and see if it connects to your car. You won’t be able to do anything if you haven’t purchased the licenses, but it will connect. Another issue may be a blown obd2 fuse.

Try under the CAS VO and check if you can change options between the 2 knobs. I have used lci knobs in pre lci E90 with no issues.

Hey! Thank you so much for uploading this video, Its very helpful! I ve got an issue with my car, i had to energize my car because accidentally closed the trunk with the negative battery terminal disconnected. 2 thing sort of reset. The windows and the self canceling for the turn signal. The window thing i was able to reset it manually but the self canceling turn signal couldnt, i tried manually and i also tried to adjust the steering angle sensor but no luck. Everything else works great in the car. People suggest me to reset the FRM using protool which i am going to buy. I am just waiting for the cable to arrive. On your video when u enter to the coding menu of FRM it says ECU, is that what resets the FRM? And if i reset the FRM and I am tuned i shouldn't have issues with the tune of my car? I believe its something independent and probably this is a dumb question lol. My last question, is there a function that relates to the self canceling?

Chris S.V sorry for the very late reply. I would save a backup of your frm module first before doing anything. Afterwards, I would simply reset any errors in the frm first to see if that solves your issues. If not, you can default code the frm back to factory settings. If running jb4, set to map 0 for the tune. An OTS tune, I’m not sure how that would work. I have a BEF OTS e85 flash and have had no issues using the protools app with the BEF. Restart the app/your tablet and disconnect the OBD cable and try again. Sometimes I get that issue. If the issue continues, there may be a problem with the ECU not allowing connection.

Between this limitation and the fact that it doesn’t support iOS, I believe that Carly might be a better option for me.

@@corradotox you can use protools to add options to your vehicle order. I am not familiar with camera installation. I do not the vehicle order can be changed and options can be added or removed. Hope this helps.

Nice! I need to code out my AHL. I am having an issue though I purchased aftermarket headlights that aren't xenon and my High beam switch works but doesn't turn my high beams on if I flick it the wrong way they come on. Can I fix this with protool?

Hi, thanks for the comment. Subscribe if you could please! In the FRM module under safety, there are 2 AHL errors that must be disabled. Scroll down a bit further and you will see an option that says “bi-xenons installed” you must disable that option for the high beams to work properly.

What do you mean oem settings? Protools should recognize you’re car once the app is launched. It may ask you to enter your chassis code, which would be e89 or generation 2.

@@stealthninja5398 I have not seen anything in the app about leveling headlights. I believe that’s based on your level sensor and your actual headlight. As for the rest, it will show you any errors in those places you mentioned.

@@nour3058 you need to check the codes. If the app is not connecting, disconnect and try again with the ignition on and engine off. It will show MRS or SRS under safety. If not showing up, check srs related fuses. If still not showing up, possible internal fault of the srs module.

I was messing around with this app yesterday, what do I go on there for low beams briteness , at night people flash me thinking high beams r on but there not on high

You can lower the brightness of the low beams by adjusting the voltage being sent to them and lower it. In the frm section, under functions, there will be an options to adjust voltages. However, do you have aftermarket headlights? I haven’t heard of the stock low beams blinding oncoming traffic.

You can’t delete the steering wheel lock, but you can reset it with the app, if it’s giving you issues.

So My 07 328xi steering wheel got locked while I was diagnosing a low battery/ alternator problem, got a new battery and alt in it now and as soon as I plug the battery a red steering lock icon shows up . I’m wondering if this tool will still work w out being able to push to ignition “ ON “?

@@jbr_garage9028 the steering wheel tried locking so many times while the battery was low and it couldn’t lock because it didn’t have enough power to engage the lock. It now thinks there is a fault in the system. You need to reset the elv counter. This will clear it up.

@@jbr_garage9028 yes, it will still work and connect even if the ignition is not able to turn on. I have reset a few wheel locks with the app. I think you need the diagnostic license for that.
