I'm only a beginner in Bourbons and hope to one day start finding those "subtle cloudberries that were grown next to a field of poppies" flavors/aromas😁. I just recently tried the Full Proof Benchmark and I really liked it. Shout out to another whiskey-tuber (Whiskey Row) for the recommendation. For the price, it's super amazing! I think I paid $21 bucks for it. Won't be replacing my favorite bourbon under $50 - OGD 114, but it's a great alternative when I can't find OGD. Gonna try the Small Batch next!!

Pouring a two or three finger pour of that Full Proof is a great way to enjoy a nice afternoon. It holds up very well against other cask strength bourbons considering it's price point. Never expected to find a cask pour for less than 25 that tastes so smooth and with more than one note.

Buffalo Trace has been a favorite of mine for 3 years. Hard to find now; I haven't been able to restock for several months. Since both of y'all chose Small Batch as #1 and Buffalo Trace was Allison's #2 choice, I'll get some Small Batch in the meantime. Love these blind taste tests. When I was working for a company that ran tastings for wine and spirits the owner used to say, it you smoke always smoke during tastings because it is what your mouth is used to. It makes a fair playing field for everything you taste. The owner used to smoke, when he stopped smoking he had to re-learn everything as his palate completely changed!

Buffalo trace has a very special place in my heart. It’s one of my favorites not specifically because of the taste of the bourbon, but the memories tied to it. When I was in college I would go to this Irish pub down the street from my dorm, very welcoming vibe in there. All of the people were nice and I had my first legal drink there. I started going there regularly with friends, and I would always order a buffalo trace neat. It is a very solid bourbon, and at the time is the only one that I knew I could order without looking like a chump. Because I started going there regularly, every Tuesday night I would show up after class at about six and on the bar would be a buffalo trace neat waiting for me. I definitely want to try these Bourbons and do a comparison! #BARTENDERSBLEND #CHEAPDRUNK

Great review. Whisky is definitely subjective. I tend towards higher proof bourbons and Americans too, but I absolutely love Irish which tends to be lower proofs. Also, I'm not a scotch (especially Islays) person.
