For butter 110 grade Celsius and u are on the safe side :) You are only partially right. What happens to a fat on a chemical level when it is heated depends on the temperature. And also on how often it is heated, for example oils for frying. The main focus is on the proportion of free fatty acids. The higher the proportion of free fatty acids from the start, the faster new compounds are formed from the free fatty acids, which are harmful to health and in some cases carcinogenic. And heating also creates more free fatty acids. So that means, for example, not using frying oil too often. The so-called "smoke point" of the oil is important here. This is actually the temperature at which the fat starts to smoke. But you shouldn't heat the fat you use at all, so this is just a guideline. You can fry with butter, but just pay attention to the temperature and then it won't be a problem. There are lists that list the smoke point temperatures of the various fats. you're on the safe side by simply staying 10-20 degrees below that, a little more if you measure in Fahrenheit, of course. The manufacturing process of an oil also determines which temperatures it can tolerate. Olive oil is not the same as olive oil in some cases, so look carefully at the bottle to see how it was made. This applies to every vegetable oil. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Smoke_point_of_cooking_oils

I stumbled onto your channel and I have to compliment you on the recipes you offer! Your recipes are simple and straightforward with delightful results. I appreciate that you also offer side dishes to the main dishes you prepare. I just watched this video and I will have to make the Dutch Meatloaf very soon, since meatloaf is one of my favorite foods. I live in Chicago, Illinois USA, where lean ground beef is about $4.50 a pound, or $10.00 per kilo.

Hello From Canada :) I am making the Dutch meatloaf right now. I've never seen one like this & the ingredients for me are ideal but the seasoning combo is a bit unusual so I figured I had to try this one instead of the traditional one we make here in Canada. I am a big fan of meatloaf where ever it is made I like to always try a new version. The other collection of recipes will follow. I am very intrigued & I want to thank you for sharing these delightful recipes. UPDATE: This is amazing & i have enough left for MANY sandwiches :)
