This was out weeks before Spider-Man (don't you believe it). Kind of exciting to get this sequel right before the webbed one had finally had his turn. Some people complained about the newly-made Marvel logo not being on Blade 2 first and then Spider-Man. The now infamous Marvel logo was made by the company called Imaginary Forces who co-produced the Blade trilogy.

Those versions of those characters in those shows IMO have a good level of swag and badassery thats close to what Wesley Snipes brings to Blade. Wesley Snipes is a hugely underrated actor. Not only is he an impressive athlete, he's funny, charismatic, handsome, and is comfortable playing a stone cold badass or a finger snapping drag queen. That latter role, if you've never seen it, was Noxeema Jackson in Too Wong Foo. I wouldn't expect To Wong Foo to feature on this channel, but if you're a fan of Snipes you ought to give it a try. I think you'll be amazed that the same actor who plays Blade also plays an amazing queen. That's a testament to his talent.

Yeah but for good of an actor someone can be we have to take into account what kind of person they are. Apparently there was a ton of drama with Snipes during the filming of Trinity. Apparently Snipes was rude to other actors like Ryan Reynolds & would show up late to set. And honestly if you look at him in the movie it looks less like Blade (cold, not showing emotion) & instead it looked like Wesley was annoyed being on set. These movies are still great but if there's a reason he's not in many movie these days, it's because of him as a person :/

22:22 That's the lore in the Anne Rice novels as well (Queen of the Damned, Interview with a Vampire etc..), since Akasha was the first human who was transformed into a vampire due to literally fusing with an evil spirit that some local shamans summoned to oppose her rule when she was a human Queen, so if you kill Akasha all vampires will die. In that series all other vampires are essentially carrying a small piece of that evil spirit which is why they all need to drink blood but the true body of that spirit is still inside Akasha so killing her kills the evil spirits influence which also kills all the vampires.

The first great sequel of Marvel's golden age on film (1998-2007) and his return to action was glorious, less than 2 years after X-Men (2000) and over a month before Spider-Man (2002). The comic-book sensibility makes an extreme approach out of the horror, suspense and action. Gullermo Del Toro truly came through in a clutch and i loved his film, Mimic (1997). Thomas Kretschmann who plays Overlord Eli Damaskinos goes on to play HYDRA Leader, Baron Strucker in the MCU. Tony Curran who plays Priest of The Bloodpack, went on to play Finn Cooley of the Kitchen Irish on Daredevil (S2). Matt Schulze who plays Chupa of The Bloodpack, made his film debut in Blade (1998) as an character named Crease. The soundtrack was fire. The video game on X-box was dope too. Blade Trinity is considered the worse of the trilogy. React to Ihe extended cut (better, tolerable version). I'm just glad that Blade has been getting more and more love as an character that changed the game more now than ever.

You forget the first Blade didn't have a lot of expectations, or anything really. Hollywood studios and producers saw it as another comic book movie. So when it was green lit for production, they didn't put a lot of money into it. It wasn't until the after the success of the first Blade, then Hollywood said ok...let's open up the check book and put some money into the sequels. So try not to dismiss the first one so quickly. The Hollywood studio environment is what shorthanded that film.

Fun fact the scene where Norman Reedus is eating Krispy Kreme donuts in the back of the truck, in the original script it was White Castle sliders. White Castle denied their request to be used in the movie, and in my opinion that is what inspired the Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle movie

Guillermo del Toro also directed Hellboy I & II. The first one is good. The second one is a MASTERPIECE. The actor for the villain is the same one here as in Hellboy II. Though we get far more character presentation for him there. Watch it, 5+/5.

I heavily recommended you watch Hellboy 2. The villian who played Nomak returns as another Memorable villian as Prince Nuada of the Woodland Elves kingdom. The more i watch this movie the more i enjoy the writing around the character of Nomak. When i originally watched this he absolutely terrified me,but the older i get the more i appreciate the sense of Tragedy that reeks from him in regards to his Overwhelming Hunger forced upon him due to his fathers experiments on him. His last word "It hurts......no more" were always haunting to me.

The del Toro HELLBOY films are wonderful. Definitely worth a watch. Ron Perlman is a national treasure.

The only thing I dont like about this movie is how underutilized they did with the "Iceman" character played by Donnie Yen. Here is an international action star and you have him died off screen. 😂

In hindsight yeah. But to be fair, this was like his first role in mainstream Hollywood. Plus he was choreographing the fight scenes alongside that. He also had another movie he was working on I think.

Guillermo Del Toro directed Blade II and Hellboy II. Both starringRon Perlman(Reinhart/Hellboy), and Luke Goss(Nomak/Prince Nuada).

Still one of my fave films. Luke Goss (Nomak) rocks in this and Hellboy 2. When the Blade 2 soundtrack came out, I played it on repeat when I was working out or getting ready to hit the club at the weekend. Pure fire!

Priest was a pretorian in "Gladiator" trying to give Maximus a soldier's death with the sword in the neck... he was also in "Thor 2" as Odin's father, Bor.... and of course, he was Marcus, the first vampire and son of Alexander Corvinus in "Underworld 2" ...

In the blue-ray version, when the son pierces Damaskinos neck, he walks a bit while bleeding out and you can see the tube with the fake blood following him on the floor. XD

Agreed, personal opinion is that 3 isn't that bad of a film, it's enjoyable, funny, little cheesy but still an enjoyable watch, but the first 2 were stronger movies

These vampires are similar to those in The Strain (Hulu). The first season of that series was excellent. Of course Blade 2 came first.

7:15 "Unless it's a Sig." I think only the Sig P320 and M17 have gone off without the trigger being pulled. An ICE agent had his sidearm holstered, which was a P320, and it went off striking him in the leg. The Army also had an M17, which is a P320, go off too but fortunately nobody was injured with that. The issue was that the pistols didn't have a mechanical disconnector, which prevents accidents like that from happening in other pistols.

If you liked these vampires, I strongly reccomend the show ''The Strain''. It has Del Toro's signature all over it. At least 2 seasons are worth the watch. The show was inspired by this particular movie. And I believe NO ONE reacted to that show up until now.
