I absolutely LOVE watching your videos for many reasons. 1st and foremost is how awesome it is to see how your family works together and ending the day at the table having a family meal starting with a prayer. I really think that’s what is missing in family’s these days. Working together and giving thanks to our Lord and Savior for all the blessings received. You guys are doing a great job and I love following you. Love and (((hugs))) from Utah.

I'm making something similar, but small crescent shape and boil them in salty water with oil, adding a bit for each round. They get oily and when baked beautifully crispy surface and soft inside. Just don't make them often because it's a messy job:))) Smashing eggs was hilarious:)))

Meg thank you for the actual bread recipe but can you please let me know how much oil or butter you use please. I have watched the bread baking video and wrote down the ingredients but I could not for the life of me work out how much oil or butter you use. You are so brave making bagels in front of the camera, I know you could have edited it out if they went wrong but I don't think you would have done that. I like so many others love it when you share you recipes, have you thought about starting another channel - Meg Cook's - you could do one or 2 videos a month, more hard work I know but if your sharing you amazing cooking and I know people have asked you many times to write a cookery book but you could start a second channel and release a cook book. I am so looking forward to seeing you harvest the honey and use it in your cooking. I'm also looking forward to seeing your herb garden develope - so many wonderful things to look forward to, thank to Ben, Meg, Tyler, Jack, Brett, Corbin and of course not forgetting Buggy - such a beautiful family and I feel so privileged to be able to come along on your amazing journey. So many things to love in this video. My first attempt at bagels came out fairly well, but they didn't last 24 hours as we gobbled them down. Cowboy Candy Pickled Eggs: wouldn't they make an amazing egg salad sandwich? Of course, you'd have to have some left after those jars get opened. My daughter tended my garden while I was out of town, and now when she stops by she checks the strawberry plants for those garden berries she's become addicted to. Little sister is always a joy, but your houseful of boys is becoming a houseful of men! Time flies when you're having fun.

The spruce in the orchard is beautiful, but you might want to consider transplanting it farther away. They expand about a foot in diameter each year. Here in Michigan they get huge!!! Two years from now and it will be swallowing the fruit tree next to it. You probably already know this, but I figured it was safer to tell you now when something can be done & still save the pine.

Your beagles look wonderful!! When I make mine, I just roll the dough into the balls, then take a wooden spoon and make a hole in the middle by just poking it down into the ball and wiggling the handle of the spoon back and forth until there is a hole about the size of a nickel in the center. Never tried rolling into a rope and doing it that way. Will try your method too. :) We love home made beagles.

I learned how to make pickled eggs from Simple Living Alaska. I had never tried them before, but they always do such a good job on any cooking they do. I am now out, so need to do it again! I make a lot of things that they have done and caned up. I also learn a lot from your videos. I don't know if you do this, but any left over brine you have for the pickled eggs, can it up for the next time you want to make it! I never wanted any pickled eggs, but they made it sound so good I had to try it. WOW! They are really good. I haven't tried cowboy candy yet. Meg, you always make baking look easy! I love making/eating pickled eggs, and I'm the only one in my house who likes to eat them. But when I make pickled deviled eggs, even my fiance will devour them! (he doesnt like the vinegar or spicy foods) But I might try cowboy candy using other hot peppers this year depending on how my plants do compared to last year! Currently in the seedling stage and so far, most everything i have planted is doing mile better, at least for the things that have germinated, I still have some things I'm waiting on.
