I have had 6 jags, and now on 2nd Range Rover. They are all fine in terms of reliability. Just get them regularly serviced by someone who knows them well.

That black door trim looks like forged carbon fibre. Basically short chopped carbon fibres in a random mesh moulded under pressure with resins. Nice.

For me one of the Most striking aspects of the rear view of the new Range Rover Sport is the "hidden" rear windscreen wiper. A much cleaner and more "efficient"(?) placement than on even much more expensive "S.U.V"/genuine Off-Roaders.....

My experience re reliability: Within 30,000 km, Air suspension failure, front head light failure, interior light failure, door lock failure, laggy screens, power head rest failure, leather seat edges coming a part on two spots…. However, I love the commanding seating position and visibility which keeps me buying Range Rovers. As long as you have warranty and an extra car your good ;)

Which RR model is that? I just placed my order for a 23 RR Sport in Giola Green with all options in SE Dynamic trim. My current ride is 21 LX570 Sport, and I can't wait to get my RR to get built. Hopefully, RR has addressed most of these issues on the new RRs because it will be a bummer to suffer these issues on a $109k vehicle.

Yes indeed, the new Ultrafabrics interior is so lovely and even way better quality than the leather interior (leather interior looks 10 years old after 1 week), however engine reliability etc. should atm only buy these vehicles with warranty or at least pick the BMW engine (V8)

I just bought a 2023 range rover sport autobiography. I tried to watch videos from a USB but it seems there's no way you can do that. When a USB is connected it says theres nothing to play. I tried with the all supported formats but no luck. It only plays MP3. Does anyone have a solution?

In Australia we have both engines available to order ( Diesel comes first, petrol in 2024), not so sure which one to order. I driven the D300 of the Range Rover sport, also own a D300 defender. Can’t compliant so far, great engine.

Hi Thomas, can you give any indication of the fuel consumption in hybrid mode and how long the battery will last with hybrid driving. I currently drive an EV but am interested in this to remove the challenge with range. I understand petrol only is likely to return about 22mpg, and understood that in hybrid motorway driving this would double. Thanks

totally depends on how often you recharge it, efficiency is not good with this vehicle in general, so it is rather about if energy is cheap in your country and you recharge it frequently

I’m in Belgium and I considered to buy one, but then the dealer told me that in an autobiography, the sound system is only 400 watts for electronic chips problem, but you pay the 800watt system without having it!!! And that you don’t have the hands free tailgate for the same reason, but you still pay it!! Moreover the delivery date is in 15 months, and if you order it they don’t fix the price for you, they revise the price at the delivery and they probably will increase the price then!!! So I changed my mind. I’m considering a Lotus Eletre rather than this range rover sport. The Eletre is even more advantageous for the taxes system in Belgium.

Tomas.. I feel that I must take issue with one comment you made in your otherwise excellent video on the Plug In Rajge Rover Sport... You referred to Landrover Range Rovers being on the "outside" of the "S.U.V" market sector when compared to German rivals from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche etc. Whilst these marques may dominate the market in some respects it should not be forgotten that it was indeed LandRover from the U.K. who pioneered the concept of a genuine "Off Road "capable vehicle, yet at the same time offering a far greater level of comfort than any similar alternative, when the first RangeRovers were launched in 1970..!!..

This is a great car, but this is not how PHEV is supposed to be implemented: with this large battery, Land Rover must use only electric motors for the traction, leaving the gas engine exclusively as a range extender, working under optimum efficiency and durability parameters. There is no logic whatsoever to do PHEV in any other way.

I'm torn between waiting to get another Volvo with the latest and greatest interior or get a Range Rover something. I like how I feel in both. I've been rather fortunate with reliability of the Volvo. The Range may have reliably issues but you only live once. I don't know. I'm still not yet ready for a Tesla but we'll see.

Thomas, great review. I find that car companies are failing to be creative on design now. This RR Sport, the Valor, and the Evoque are the same the difference is size and interior. It's like the new C Class, E Class, and S Class, you just can't tell the difference unless you measure size. The previous RR Sport was unique. This one is just a Supersized Evoque or Large Valor. No creativity from design team. But the interior is nice. Although the build quality is poor for the price tag. I will stick to the Germans Thank You.

Gone Are The Days Of Range Rover Quality ! These Cars Are Beautiful On The Outside But Trash On The Inside. My Sister Had 9 Major Issues On Her 95,000 Dollar Velar That Couldn't Be Fixed. The Dealers Have Many Of These Cars Sitting On Their Lots Waiting To Be Fixed Or Sent Back To The Factory. Beware Of These Cars ! Too Many Liability Issues !! 🤑💰💰💰
