How to display postcards with writing on the back. I buy 2 5 x 7 picture frames. One can be from the dollar store, one nicer. Or both from the dollar store. Then I gut the nicer frame - keeping only the frame and the glass. From the second frame, all I need is the glass. Center the postcard facing forward and put the second piece of glass in the back and close it up. I get tiny easels at Michaels to sit them on. Now, someone can admire the front of the card or pick it up and read the back. I love it when the writing is romantic, in another language or just beautiful handwriting. You can get them for every holiday and season and change them out. If you are a reseller, you can buy inexpensive frames at Goodwill and sell them put together!

+06:18 That post card is very interesting. Looks like it was sent from Spokane Washington with a one cent stamp. Sent to Galer Street in Seattle Washington. That's in the Queen Anne Hill area. I grew up on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle and I remember one cent stamps and this postcard is before zip codes. I'm 80 this year. Thanks for the memories. P.S. I totally missed that it was addressed to the Piggott family. The Piggott family owned a large stake in Paccar and are worth 7 Billion. Galer street the ritzy part of Queen Anne Hill.

The long tail bird is Fenton probably from the 1990s. Should Andrew get froggy and want to jump at shipping a swung vase, ask at a flower wholesale, florist shop or even a grocery store for their boxes that are used for shipping flowers. These are long, narrow and in many cases, boxes will fit inside another box. These boxes are sturdy and made for international shipping. Your hand passed over a folding tape measure. They sell for 15 to 20, are getting more difficult to find and sell just about as fast as they come into the store.

I'm afraid you'd light yourself up like a Christmas tree if you plugged it in. The cardboard backing identifies this as a product of the Star Band Corp. of Portsmouth, VA from the Sixties. I found an exact parallel listed in their 1965 catalogue, which notes the original was NOT illuminated. (The cardboard backing on yours was McGyvered from Santa's store box.) 15:27 Those are so 1971, it _hurts._ We had chairs almost exactly like them at home.

I have a Santa Head that was light up that I got from my In-Laws once they new I was selling vintage, it was scary on the back too, so I just removed the cord from it and hang it on an inside door. (There was no way I was going to sell that ⚠️ danger 🤣 It had a cardboard back too and very think plastic. So cute,

We had a GE fan like that with the wide wire cage back in the 60s. A childhood friend of mine got her long hair caught in it and it ripped out a chunk. We had her hair in that fan for 30 years. 😂

I really love going to our local antique mall too because you can really come to learn the vendors that you enjoy, the displays are just awesome and I totally agree, "better than thrift store prices". Ours here are just starting to sprinkle in many more Holiday items. I love your Santa and think the kiddos will love him too. I recently picked up a lot of very old Christmas cards with such unique and pretty scenes on them. They are so great to decorate with in unique frames just placing them throughout the home.
