BETTER THE WOLFBOX? - Azdome PG19X 4K Rearview Mirror Dashcam System

Welcome to the fourth and hopefully final installment of our Rearview Mirror Dashcam series. Throughout this project, we've reviewed an assortment of rearview mirror dashcam systems to find the most suitable one for my Jeep.
In this video, I'll be reviewing the Azdome PG19X 4K Rearview Mirror Dashcam System. I'll show you what comes with the kit, how to install it, how to use it, and how it performs. I will also compare its performance to the Wolfbox G840S.

This series is great. You had mentioned at the end of the Lingdu video that you had another system that had 4K cameras front and rear. Obviously that's not the case. I don't think such a system exists yet. I have the Wolfbox G900 which comes with the upgraded rear camera. Like you, I have it mounted inside of a tinted rear window so at night it's not ideal. Hopefully this is not the final installment and we can get the rear night vision to work better than it does. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Yeah I thought this one had a 4K rear camera, but turns out it only had a 1080p camera like the others. Hopefully in the future someone will make a camera that has a 4K camera because that will be the solution. The camera that I have is something I can live with but it's just not perfect. I am also thinking about adding a switch box and multiple camera, where I have some cameras under the jeep as trail cameras. I think that might be a very cool options, still trying to figure how that would work.

@@evolvedjeepin I hope you do the multi-camera project. I was actually thinking about a second camera on the outside rear for use at night. My feeling is with the dark tint a 4K camera alone will not fix the issue. Like you, I can live with what I have but with current technology we should be able to do better.

I like the Wolfbox better, more uniform, the other one has a bright spot in center ad darker to the edges.

Thanks for your helpful videos and thorough analysis! After watching this video, I'm considering buying this Azdome PG19X 4K Rearview Mirror Dashcam System instead of the Wolfbox system because, like you, I think it would look much better on my Jeep JL and I like the wifi feature. I'm really interested to know which Wolfbox rear camera upgrade you used but didn't see it among the links and couldn't find it when I searched online. Can you kindly share a link to the upgraded rear camera? Thanks again!

Thank you for this amazing series! Couldn't agree more the rear view dash cams are necessary for my Rubicon, specifically with my 37" wheel mounted on the back door. I hope they'll upgrade the rearview camera to 4K soon. Just to clarify - if I buy this Azdome PG19X system (which I definitely prefer), the Wolfbox camera upgrade DOES WORK with Azdome system as well, correct? Or would you suggest another camera upgrade for the Azdome system? Another question: if I were to buy the Wolfbox camera upgrade with the Azdome system (assuming they work together), which is the hardwire kit I should buy? I assume I'd need to buy the AZDOME JYX05 Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, but since I'm considering the Wolfbox rear camera upgrade would the WOLFBOX USB C Hardwire Kit be more appropriate? I really appreciate your help and thank you so much in advance !

Yes the Wolfbox camera works with the Azdome, that is what I am using right now. And for the hardwire kit you can use the Wolfbox hardware kit or the Azdome USB-C OBDII plug, that would also work. I am using the Wolfbox hardwire kit.
