Hey I'm the new girl, Kayt! I was totally not expecting that twist either! I was expecting it to be more like The Strangers. It took me completely by surprise! I can't remember the last movie that caught me off guard like that. I really liked it and will definitely be watching it again around Christmas!

I asked in the comments of I don't know how many reaction videos "Why are the funnelcaking doorknobs so high on the doors in "Better Watch Out "?!?!?" My first thought was also "Because of the sleep-walking?" But, no. People who sleep-walk do every day things they are used to doing. Some sleep-walkers even DRIVE in their sleep. If he was used to opening the doors when awake, he would automatically reach for the doorknob in the right place if was sleep-walking. Then someone from Australia {where the movie was made} just casually mentioned it is an "Australia thing". Many homes, especially ones built as late as World War Two, just have those "high" doorknobs. "But Scott, you idiot", people will, say "they built the interior sets." Yes they did. In Australia. Using building materials available in Australia. Which would include doors designed to fit the existing jambs. So, they used "high doorknob" doors and jambs. I think the exterior doors of the house they used the exterior of had the "high" doorknobs? So, interior doors would have been used that matched the design aesthetic of the house they used for the exterior shots. Nobody seems to know WHY the "high" doorknobs were originally used. One theory is child-safety. But, no one definitely knows any more what the exact idea was.....
