Sam Prestie dropped the ball. What's the purpose of acquiring many picks if it cannot be used to acquire an elite player like Siakam. When Prestie heard Indiana was interested in acquiring Siakam, he should have at least asked for the price. Bertan's, Giddy and plus two or three picks would have secured him Siakam. With Siakam as the secondary scorer and his experience winning the NBA Championship, I believe OKC would have beaten Dallas. Siakam would easily average 22 pts, 8 rbs and 5 assists to complement Shai and Williams.

@@CouLandsBy the time the trade deadline came around they were well aware of how good they were, and of how close they were to winning it all 'this' season. They had much more than enough future draft picks and non rotational players with trade value to make a move this season, and for many more to come. Plus they could've traded for a rental player if they didn't want to be stuck with the contract. They should've gone after OG for sure, but they could've probably also got Gafford for not much, and would've kept him from going to Dallas who he ended up helping them tremendously.
