I love your interpretation of the cauldron's association with Earth! I never thought of it that way and I'm glad I heard you speak on it! Thank you for this video Stacy!

Thank you Cillian! Let me know if you experiment using a cauldron this way. Always fun and interesting to compare notes on such things once in awhile. You're welcome, this video fun to make. First time I tried filming at sunset.

What a great perspective! I think it's safe to say that while I'm not an advanced practitioner, I safely stepped out of the realm of "beginner". So far while I understand the cauldron as a representation of water, I explicitly use it in burning bowl rituals. I guess it's more of a fire element for me! And my keyword has always been "container" rather than "incubator." But I think I'm going to take a season to explore the cauldron as an earth element and see how that pans out in my practice!

Oh thank you 🙏😊! Lots of folks use their cauldron in that manner, as a burning bowl. Totally works! Oh fantastic, excited to hear you're going to explore the cauldron as an earth tool. Let us know how that goes for you. I love comparing these experiences with fellow witches.

I think of the cauldron as representing all of the elements. I burn by leaves and spells written on papers in my cauldron and therefore the rising smoke is representing air.the cauldron is balance of all the elements.i think this is why she is such a magical vessel

Super cool video on the cauldron, thank you for the inspiration ✨🙏 I absolutely agree with the cauldron belonging to the element of earth, because of everything you mention and also because it’s just giving me Earth vibes through and through... For me that is unmistakably and feels veeery different from water energy, which is perfectly and purely aligning with the chalice (without all kinds of other confusing tools added). I actually thought understanding the cauldron to symbolize earth was the “real” and original and most common way, at least that’s what I heard the most from traditional witches and practitioners! Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your take on things and for keeping the essence clear 🥰

At the same time I’m also agreeing with the idea of the cauldron symbolizing and combining all elements at once, which actually isn’t against the wisdom of the cauldron belonging (mostly) to earth at all! For isn’t it the Earth, that truly contains, holds, creates and transforms it all and all of us - inside of her, upon her and in her atmosphere all elements are buzzing around, working together as a whole in that one living and breathing organism. I just feel that’s supreme Earth wisdom 🌍

Totally agree with Uilliam. My cauldron is totally functional and used for concentrating decoctions of roots or for creating aromas from fragranced oils. After watching your marvellous video Stacy, I feel like I've done my cauldron a disservice. An incubator... That makes much more sense to me now. This might sound mad but do you have any advice as to how I should cleanse my cauldron? The last person I asked offered some suggestions based on household cleaning products. I've now learned to only ask for advice from my wiccan or witch friends! Blessings and thanks Stacy. David

Such wonderful uses for a cauldron! I am encouraged and honored you found inspiration in this video. 🙏🙂Yep, like your own iron ( or whatever your cauldron may be made of) womb. Which actually is an important piece of information for me to have to answer your question regarding suggestions for cleansing. Coming from a place of practically, I like to cleanse my cauldron physically and spiritually. If you have an iron cauldron you’ll want to treat it as any cast iron cooking pot. Gentle soap and water, dry. I use cedar incense for air cleansing. Followed by a good coating of an organic oil, warm. A sea salt and rosemary olive oil is my favorite, wipe clean…don’t leave a pool of oil in bottom. Maybe skip the rosemary since you mentioned you use your cauldron for oil fragrances…I’d stick with a lite olive oil with just sea salt for your purposes. I have also wrapped my cauldron in black silk to “ let it rest” when other cleansings didn’t seem to pack enough punch. Brightest blessings.

@@enigmaticwitchcraft Thank you Stacy, it definitely was cleansing in the spiritual sense. In future, I'll treat my cauldron with much more respect. Rosemary is an absolutely inspired suggestion ; it complements iron perfectly. And black silk to clothe my cauldron is such a perfect choice. I hope you don't mind me asking why did you place a small circular mirror in your cauldron? Thank you Stacy ; it's such a huge minefield of witch 'n' Wiccan videos planted all over KZbin. I'm so delighted to have found yours. You really do enrich and empower (and blend inspiring advice with fascinating history!). Thank you & purest blessings from an icy Scottish morning! David x

@@SecuritySpecial I don’t mind you asking at all. Wonderful potions and brews are not the only things a cauldron can incubate. They are also wonderful for the darker arts too. I had a mirror in there for a particular working that called for someone to reflect and stew a bit in their actions. Thank you again for all the wonderful compliments. 🧙🏼‍♀️🙏 I am thoroughly blessed and honored you are enjoying and finding such value in the videos.

@@enigmaticwitchcraft Oh Stacy, I have so much to learn! I never, ever thought that a cauldron & mirror could be used in this darker sense! But then again, a bit of self-reflection brings out the fresh perspective of the Hanged Man in most people! You've certainly transformed how I view (and use) my cauldron. Tranquil blessings (and thanks.) David x

Hey there from Cascadia! As to cleaning a cast iron caldron, there are many ways, and I would not recommend soaps or detergents. I guess it's because I don't use soaps and detergents in my cooking cast iron as it can leave soap contamination in the pores of the cast iron which can lead to lower GI distress. A way I was taught that has unintended ritual use is to use coarse Salt and a cut potato as a scouring tool. Then re-season it by lightly with cooking oil (consecreated or not) and put in oven at 350 degrees F for an hour and let cool. As I said there are many ways. This is a ritual for me.

I love this and won’t really be able to see it any other way from now on. Listening to your playlists and doing many things, I just used my caldron for the 1st time today with charcoal on salt chunks to burn sandalwood chips, frankincense resin and dried lavender. Perfect timing to learn perspective it feels so right as a womb to be nurtured with growth. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!

hello, i would like to know why do you place a mirrors inside your cauldron? i loved the video.
@enigmaticwitchcraft
@enigmaticwitchcraft 9 ай бұрын
So glad you loved the video, thank you for watching. There are various reasons to use a mirror. For us we keep a mirror in our cauldron when it is not in use, to deflect any residual energy. Like not wanting the incubator to be incubating any left overs on automatic.

One more question please my beauty, but can the mirror also be used to reflect positive energies and intention back to you inside the cauldron. Thank you so much for responding quickly. Some people don't respond at all, how you going to teach and not answer questions, thank you again my beautiful friend.☺️PS. I LUUUUUUUUUUV CAULDRON. You learn something new everyday, again Thank you☺️

@@tabathabradley8324 yes, I think it could if you gave those things that job to do. We like to think of it as just recognizing energy as energy, it is pure…we are the ones that give it intent. A mirror could be a magnificent vessel to reflect that truth. Hope you had a merry solstice.
