I havent been to a nightclub in years let alone the bar scene. However last Saturday I went to this bar/ club to see a band I recently discovered. The place was maybe 3/4 full and id say the age range was 25-35 with a sprinkling of Gen Xers like myself. What really got me was this outright vibe of hostility coming from the women! The bartenders were all female and they seemed to go out of their way to serve all the women no problem while making the men wait! Me and another guy stood there waiting to order at least 15 minutes! They treated us like we were literally invisible. Me and the other guy even made eye contact and started shaking our heads and laughing at how incredible this was. The women single women as per usual were either in groups or couples. But none of them seemed to express the slightest interest in meeting any guys. They were hard pressed to even check out the room. And like I said. There was just this feeling of hostility. Like if you dared even talk to any of them theyd bite your head off!! It was very weird and depressing. It felt very different to when I was young and going out in the 80s and 90s.

While I'm not wealthy, I am in the 6 figure bracket, in a rural area where the average household income is 54k. And the biggest city in my state has an average income of about 68k. The more money I make, the less willing I am to date, the higher my standards get, and the more attention I get, despite not flaunting my money. I live a 40k lifestyle and invest the rest. I haven't crossed the finish line yet, but I'm farther along than most will ever get, and NONE of these women had any interest in being with me when all I had was potential and drive. This is what many men ( including me ) have suspected since the late 1980s. The young women are having a great deal of "fun," even the ones who were not very good looking, while we men have had to work at improving ourselves in order to have any chance of getting any sort of date -- and put a lot of work in , at that. I'm not putting in tons of work, often at jobs I don't enjoy, just to have to deal with a high milage woman.

I've had chicks freak out when my first question on meeting them is 'Do you want children?" Because if they say no, I say then this is pointless, I have better things to do, and walk. It’s definitely a blind spot of theirs. All of them met their wives well before 2012, when dating apps really took off. Also all of them except Matt were Ivy League educated with clear paths to high success in life, so they were highly attractive to women even in their early 20s, which is not the case for most men. I have a Master’s degree and a good career, and I was completely invisible to women until around age 26. That’s the norm now. They just don’t understand how the average American woman under the age of 35 or so is not marriage material anymore, and many are not even worth dating or engaging with at all. It’s not even just the unfair laws. There are few American women worth marrying anymore. I finally found a good girlfriend after many frustrating years of being single.

I hate to be "that guy" but it's worth mentioning that I've met *so many* people in general who complain about not having enough money, yet insist on buying shit "because YOLO". Why can't people take pleasure out of simple things anymore? I take great joy in walking, woodwork, playing an instrument, and I rarely buy meals because I like spending the time making my own for like 1/10th the price. People call me boring because I don't go out drinking very often, then I ask them why they spend 8 hours a day on social media. As we used to say around here: "There's nowt as queer as folk.".
