I was in game on and off for 25+ years as trader/compiler etc. In last 10 years every firm I've worked I've been only one (or one of very few) who had any idea how to price anything. He is 100% correct that so many jobs went and hardly any of the guys I knew and respected still at firms. Now they just managing feeds and when they go down they are lost. Anyone decent on punting side now

Maybe the aim of the interview should be to give people pointers to more profitable gambling. Up to now you need to get an arrangement with a bookmaker and know well connected faces.

The headlines look good - we've laid a £50k at 2/1 , but that's the SP price not the morning price of £50k at 5/1. That just would not happen. Ever.
