I take so much inspiration from Patrick and have read his book cover to cover. I'm not a professional by any means but i love horse racing and have made over 50k profit in the last 5 years from betting. I almost exclusively bet on American Claiming and Optional Claiming horse races. I just love reading form and finding winners. It's like when you really understand the races you're betting on and take your time to look at the cards, they almost jump out at you. Also like Patrick says, how often Timeform and Racing post get it wrong is almost comical. NEVER follow either of their tips. Always use Attheraces for their form cards aswell, absolutely indespensible and show unreal amounts of information. Happy betting everyone!

I played cricket with Patrick at Greetland CC In the Halifax junior league. He was probably one of the most switched on lads I have ever encountered In life at such a young age. Nice to know you are doing well Pat. All the best from your friends at Greetland CC. We often chat about you.

@@jboyohya might of been talking about Nick Goff about taking bets of irish guys in the pub on an irish greyhound without having the money to payout, and standing by the door ready to do a runner if the dog won. Enemy no. 1 is a cold, clinical history of his big winners and losers: don’t expect fireworks and insights: it’s like the man himself: not getting bothered by losing £100k on a race, similarly, winning the same amount and more…he had loads of agents putting bets for him, that’s how he was able to put large amounts without getting noticed
