Bettmeralp Winter Switzerland 4K 60p Part 1

Bettmeralp a truly breateaken village in the swiss alps with epic views ! One of the best villages i visit in switzerland for sure !
The car-free village of Bettmeralp which is only accessible by a large-car cableway is located in the immediate vicinity of the impressive Aletsch Glacier, the first Unesco World Heritage Site of the Alps. The family-friendly summer and winter holiday resort boasts almost 300 sunny days a year.
Bettmeralp is located on a sun terrace high above the Rhone Valley with a view of the four-thousand-metre-high peaks of the Valais including the Weisshorn, Dom and Matterhorn. The resort has been awarded the "Families Welcome" quality certificate and offers a children's article hire service as well as a children's activity programme. Even the hiking trails have been designed with small children in mind: pushchair-friendly hiking trails are part of what's on offer.
Winter:
The ski region at the foot of the Bettmerhorn is part of the Aletsch ski arena which extends from Riederalp via Bettmeralp all the way to Fiescheralp. The 35 lift facilities provide access to pistes for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. A snow sports school is there to teach adults and children all the right moves. Several smaller lifts in the village area make the resort particularly suitable for children. In Bettmeralp skiers enjoy the benefit of being able to ski right to their doorstep.
A good selection of well-groomed winter walking trails is available for winter hikers. The trail for the one-hour-walk to Riederalp is lit at night. For cross-country skiers there is a small circular course by Lake Bettmer as well as the extensive cross-country skiing paradise in the nearby Goms.
Summer:
Summer holidays in the area of the Unesco World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch are breaks in unspoilt countryside. The holiday resorts of Belalp, Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp are located in this attractive hiking area characterised by the Aletsch Glacier, the biggest glacier in Europe. The nearby vantage points Bettmerhorn (2643m) and Eggishorn (2926m) offer impressive views of the 23-kilometre-long glacier.

Wat een prachtige video! Ik heb vroeger in Zwitserland gewoond en heb destijds als jong broekie van begin 20 ook een winterseizoen op de Bettmeralp doorgebracht. Het chalet op 6:37, Bettmerhorn, was mijn woning (onderverdieping rechts). Wat een genot om dat in een video van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit weer eens terug te zien. De sfeer in het dorp is geen spat veranderd, al zijn er in de afgelopen 30 jaar wel aardig wat winkels en horecagelegenheden bijgekomen, maar het dorp ademt nog steeds hetzelfde optimisme uit als toen. Ik ken Zwitserland van haver tot gort en kom er nog steeds geregeld, ben met dat land vergroeid, haha. Je maakt uitzonderlijk mooie video's en je weet de sfeer en schoonheid van de andere plaatsen ook heel mooi weer te geven. Ik blijf je volgen!

Hello Mark Beautiful little Swiss village , you really found a gem 💎 there and you did a great job once again capturing it . You must have good arms to carry your gimbal and camera like this , at first I taught you had a belt to support it while walking.I also see that your mic is mounted on top of your camera …don’t you have problems balancing your gimbal ?? Hi serge thanks 👍what camera do you have ? A handycam will be difficult to balance . . On a dji rs2. . I have no problems with balance with big mic on top ;)

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K I have the Sony A7IV and if I try to balance with my Rode mic Pro on top it’s impossible…it either drop’s in the front or in the back (where the camera is ) when trying to balance the first section and it also hits the gimbal in the back when rotating . Your motors must work harder to keep it balanced ?? For my Sony FDR-AX53 I had no problems balancing it on my RSC2 , but I will used it only handheld or on a tripod now that I have the Sony A7IV . Today I made a walk outside in the cold at -21 Celsius with my Sony A7IV with my Rode mic Pro attached to my RSC2 and walk about 30 minutes , quite a hard job at that temperature. Will probably upload it on my channel tomorrow or Sunday .

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K Thanks Mark I have my RSC2 since quite a while and i do know how to balance my gimbal …🤣 I must of did it a 100 times 🤪 With the mic attached on top of the camera it’s impossible to balance …you will never do it . It raises the weight to high over the base plate so it keeps falling on one side or the other . Check what I wrote on the modified comment I made above just before yours . I wonder how you walk so that the image is not bouncing?

@@SergeCousineau i try my self today to balance the gimbal with camera and video mic pro ( i have used special spike shoes for my shoes for walking in snow , i always walk in small steps ' i always ad 1% warp stabilization to my walk video give it a dreamy look if i do 50% what the standaard is i get wobbly buildings an mountains ( i just wake up ) let me try to balance that thing over here ;) what lens do use use on the camera ?

Our family has been spending every winter there for the past 15 years (it is perfect for families bc no cars). And yes we do hope it remains a “hidden gem” bc it is very small and compact - I don’t know if it’s your camera, but the village looked so much more spread out than it is in reality - I thought you’d never get to the end of the main road!

I'll try to support You though I'm relatively poor about money. What I cannot understand: You bought a good quality 8k camera. You told me that the people do prefer 4k 60p instead of 8k 30p or 4k 30p, as from the survey you requested. But, and there is a great "BUT": I checked a lot of times, and 30p is enough smooth if one knows to adjust the tv set (to have the same screen refresh rate as video frame rate). Especially there is the possibility to double the frame rate by using the "true motion" (in LG tv) or some similar function of tv which inserts after each real frame another one interpolated. Even without "true motion", at 30 fps the video is enough smooth. Cinema is 24 fps. It's a great sin to sacrifice that gorgeous 8k resolution for a caprice to have 60 fps that is almost unnoticeable when watching the video. Also, the requested poll is influenced by the fact that many people maybe does not have 8k TVs. But television and tv sets will only progress if they provide the viewer with the image of the outside world as close to real life as possible (resolutions as high as possible, colors as real as possible, 3D, fps, etc.). Otherwise we will be stuck in mediocrity, don't You think? I can understand your interest in having as many subscribers and viewers as possible. This is true in the short term. But in the long run, the true superiority will prevail. And You are young and have the whole future ahead for a good and long career. I apologize for insisting so much. Ilie Banuta PS. And I had so much hope in your channel... And don't forget: anyhow, fast movements videos decreases the sharpness because of LCD displaying manner.

Is this 8k downsampled to 4k? It seems to a lot sharper than my A7s iii's 4k. I have no idea how you get such nice colours, none of the picture profiles produce this.

This is 4K 60P H.265 ( i export in H.265 to KZbin) i do not have 8K 60P . . I found this on the internet : The a1 has an oversampled 4K mode of its own, coming from an APS-C crop of the image; however, it comes from 5.8K capture, and so can't quite match the perfectly oversampled 8K-to-4K capture of the Canon.
