These showed kids the hard reality and truth. Sometimes a kid needs a little "eye-opener" in order to learn a lesson. A kid is less likely to learn if someone just tells them "don't hurt animals", they need to see what animals go throw to really understand. Obviously, this was for kids so it was simplified and less realistic but it still sent the message. (also, is no one gonna talk about betty just kissing him like that? _)

I love how this 16 year old sees an abusive dude who's way stronger than her and rather than just sigh, she does something about it. No wonder why I recognized the farmer's animation in Rubberhose Rampage. There's just something special about the animation in Betty Boop's animations compared to other rubberhose animations in this time (not to say this was the only good one, but it stuck with me). All they did was put him in a Santa's suit and put him in the game. The walking animation and the "cheap shot" was what gave it away
