I’m so happy to see you back on KZbin. You were one of the very first people I subscribe to many moons ago and you along with Chef John basically taught me how to cook. Due to an fortunate circumstances I Lost the majority of my site in 2011. I was unable to read cookbooks or navigate the Internet because at the time Zoom and magnification features weren’t as sophisticated as what they are now. After having to give up so many of my hobbies like card making, reading, and even driving, I turned to KZbin to make a lot of your recipes enjoying how clear you were in your oral directions. In a time that was incredibly dark for me you, Rick, and your fabulous recipes and garden tours along with your field trips were there. It’s been almost 10 years now and I still go back to many of your recipes for inspiration especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas. During the time that you were absent from KZbin I completely understood and I want you to know that you were always in my thoughts. Thank you for everything that you do and please know that you have a strong community that loves you ❤️

Hi Betty I really enjoy listening to your videos and I say listening because I am totally blind I myself am making lightened versions of different things sweet especially because I enjoy them a lot just wanted to let you know in case you may not have heard the Splenda baking blend the only place I’ve been able to find it is at Walmart but it’s really really good and it doesn’t like puff up in the air like the other types of Splenda do so hope this helps and I would love love love to hear from you

Appreciate the freezing tip. Trying to watch the cals but still want to make and eat cheesecake. A small piece every other day or something like that is really a better way to still eat the things we like rather than go on a cheesecake binge. It is still there in the freezer so we do not have to eat it all right now. Do you like it as well with the Splenda. Just wondering if one could use partial cottage cheese for less cals, as well. Definitely going to make this one.
