The Admiral is one of the best nicknames ever. Also, he might be the nicest most genuine person ever. A real life super hero.

I met Mr Robinson back in 92 When I was working at Fudrucker's busing tables....Him and his wife came in and they were so outgoing and easy to talk to....Just an amazing personality. One of the classiest people you will ever meet.

Same here. Couldn't agree more, an amazing athlete, basketball player and an even better person!

There is a video of David Robinson dominating Michael Jordan and the Bulls in his rookie year. He dunked by him on a fast break. He even blocked Jordan’s dunk and tongue 2 feet above the rim. Robinson needs to have his highlights at least one a year. The dude was a freak of an athlete.

I used to work for KSAT TV in San Antonio when they were doing the Spurs games, so I got to spend quite a bit of time with these two guys (as well as all the other players and coaches). They were just as cool in real life as they were on TV.

Was a jazz fan but always admired these two players!! Great league representatives. Can’t forget the little general Avery Johnson.

Too cool to watch Sean and David go back and forth like this. We need to get episodes where Sean interviews Pop and Timmy, but we know how that will go😂
@Hanharrftw4 жыл бұрын
If it's Sean, it will probably go better than any other reporter asking Pop questions.
@spurslyfe28714 жыл бұрын
That was awesome. Sean needs to do more of these. Get old spurs teammates for a quick little chat. Two of the classist guys you will ever meet. Thank you for this.

Big Dave, Sean, and Avery were the old school year "big three' IMO before GDP, and they definitely set the tone for this team so people can follow and replicate the success. David Robinson is and would forever be my favorite player, with Manu at 2 but very close.

Sean Elliott, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard, etc., etc., seems like pretty much EVERYONE to have ever donned a Spur uniform had a really nice/friendly face.

My 2 fav NBA players of all time. I listened to 1200AM I think? On my crappy little AM tape player (wish I still had that thing) for Spur games in the early mid 90's in Pekin Illinois. I took stats. Traded Sean for Rodman blew my mind and we got Sean back. Crazy times. You both are amazing people!!!I became a Spur fan from Robinson and being sick of hearing about Jordan and the Bulls..
@MrCocksuckme4 жыл бұрын
Oh those Spurs warmpup jerseys and the floor of the Hemisphere Arena. It was a time in my life where i was so sick of the bulls and my classmates loving them, since I'm from central Illinois, that I had to pick a team. It was gona be Dominique Wilkins and the Hawks or David Robinson, Rod Strickland, Terry Cummings, JR Reid and Antoine Carr...Willie Anderson ...

to me Robinson is proof you dont have to be a "a-hole" (sorry) to be a good player. Some NBA people praise Durant for finally being tough and all while i liked him more at the time he won his mvp trophy. Surely on can be tough and still not talk trash too much etc etc.
