It's really great to find another mid-life YNAB budgeter on KZbin who isn't necessarily talking about enormous wealth/investments 🙂 Good job on the success with recategorising, in the past having categories that weren't realistic or useful really derailed me. Long may it continue for you!

I'm glad the the reorganised categories are working for you - it helps to see things in order of importance/immediacy to guide you where to assign any new money to. I see that you have quite a few annual categories set up with targets and YNAB is indicating the monthly amounts which should be assigned to work towards having the total required by the time it's due, but most have nothing assigned yet despite being small amounts individually. Is there a reason for not funding them? The idea of funding them incrementally each month is to avoid larger shocks when the annual payments are due. Nice to see you so positive about how it's going - you're doing a great job!

Thanks for stopping by! To answer your question, I'm still getting used to YNAB and how it works best for me. If they have nothing assigned yet it's because I chose not to. I do understand that the idea is to fund things monthly. I'm just not there yet! 💖✨
